My ambition when I started the bakery was simple: to provide London's busy chefs with the best handcrafted bread, made from the finest ingredients possible. Today, as the bakery heads towards twenty years in business, my goal remains the same and this ambition underpins everything we do.

Our bakers and pastry chefs, along with a vital support network of customer service and account managers, packers and drivers, work around the clock to provide our customers, most of whom are still chefs, with an exciting selection of products that are always fresh, relevant, and delicious - and that they are happy to serve to their own customers.
Services
Founded in 2003 by Pierre Koffmann protg and former Michelin-starred chef Paul Rhodes, Paul Rhodes Bakery is one of the leading independent bakeries in London, specialising in handcrafted breads and pastries, all made using the finest ingredients and traditional techniques. Our business is constantly evolving and we are always looking at new ways of working.
We pride ourselves on offering one of the widest product ranges in the capital. So whatever you're looking for, from our Mastercrafted speciality loaves made from historic grains or dinner rolls and burger buns to morning goods, afternoon tea cakes and pastries, we cover the full spectrum of baked goods goodness.
Welcome to Mastercrafted, our new handcrafted, long fermentation, great tasting and nutritious range made from diverse historical grains and carefully sourced additional ingredients, provided by some great new partners and suppliers. Predominantly distinctive breads at present, we have other products in development and will be looking to continuously add to the Mastercrafted range over time.
Based in Greenwich, South East London, we are one of the UK's leading independent bakeries. Our team of expert bakers combines a traditional skill-set with specialised processes. For instance, our top-of-the-range stone-based ovens are specially-designed to suit the needs of the artisan baker, enabling our team to tweak all kinds of breads, cakes and pastries to perfection on a grand scale.
If you haven't visited our incredible shop yet, we really think it's about time you did. Featuring an ever-changing selection of our finest creations, including our specialty artisan breads, delicious handcrafted cakes, tarts and pastries, our Greenwich outpost is everything we think a neighbourhood bakery should be; relaxed, friendly and full of delicious daily staples and feel-good treats, whatever the time of day.

I love the bread from this bakery and everything else too, but most recently I tried their ice-creams and oh my goodness! They are so yummy! And they're made in London.

The quality of the breads and pastries is second to none, but you'll need a mortgage to afford them.
Use the Too Good to Go app to grab a magic bag. Far better value.

Visited this bakery for few times the first while I was visiting Greenwich and I really like it. Staff was really nice and friendly. Tried few bread, cakes and pastries and found the sweet options better than the bread and savoury options. Their marble cake is really good and the portion size is generous, the chocolate and pistachio babka was good as well. Had the vegetable pizza and it tasted good but the dough was quite thick. For bread, I tried the tomato focaccia which was good but not similar to normal focaccia, baguette which was good, Sicilian olive sourdough which was my least favourite

Great coffee and fresh bread plus some good vegan options. Really handy for picking up a snack if you’re exploring Greenwich- good idea to grab a loaf to take home too. Really good quality products. The cakes are lovely too.

Paul Rhodes Bakery was conveniently located between the Airbnb my friends and I were staying at and the bus stop, making it the perfect place for morning coffee and pastries. Their lattes were rich and smooth, which I loved; and our group was a big fan of both the sausage and ham pastries! The staff was kind and helpful, answering any questions we had. At the end of our trip, I bought one of their tote bags with "bag for loaf" printed on it. It made for a great souvenir and is the perfect bag for grocery shopping.

Second visit
After review, I heard back from their head office. They take feedback very seriously. Glad to see they are determined for best customer experience.
They were generous for offering me a gift voucher.
I visited again today and tried their Cheese &Tomato pizza slice, Veggie sausage roll and black coffee.
I have to say that I was impressed by the quality.
The pizza slice was a thick square slice with a crispy and soft crust 😋😋. The tomatoes were juicy and simply enhances the flavour in each bite.
Veggie susage roll was delicious too. It was a patty filled with mushrrom, cheese

Cute, fresh, and tasty! Having all the pastries exposed to people is a little worry-some, but the taste and service makes-up, and we have not had a bad experience yet! It has made our morning visit during our vacation a great start to our London day!

Our regular stop for breakfast and emergency coffee.
The croissant and Soda Bread toasts are to die for. The seating is outward facing and on high stools allowing the great art of watching people to continue the warm.
Superbly located just south of the Cutty Sark and directly next to the maritime centre and Music University.
This is a highly recommended venue and worth the extra time lost watching people.

The lines were long at the nearby market, but short and efficient at Paul Rhodes. Their baked goods counter offered all sorts of temptations, but we settled on trying two: a mini salted caramel tart and mini Bakewell tart. The former was like a millionaire slice, but with soft, gooey caramel. I loved the Bakewell. The frangipane and jam perfectly complemented each other. As we ate these in a nearby park, we appreciated that the pastry was sturdy and tasty, so we had no trouble eating with our hands. Based on this experience, I’d happily visit another Paul Rhodes location.

Stopped in for a quick test while walking through Notting Hill. Cute bakery and friendly staff. I tried the jam cookies, pecan tart, and meringue. Nothing was spectacular. The cookie was hard, the tart crumbly, meringue was pretty good. Nice place to sit and chat, but not spectacular pastries.

Average experience near Kensington. We went in the morning before an early flight and it was alright. We ordered the mushroom and cheese bread and a ham and cheese croissant. The croissant was barely warmed and the bread was still cold after being in the warmer. I'm not sure if they had been frozen prior or if the oven wasn't working but they were essentially room temperature if not colder. The lattes were good but for the price it was not worth it for the sandwiches. I'd skip it and hit up another bakery for sandwiches if that's what you're after. They do have free WiFi

We were lucky enough to have a flat around the corner from this gem while we visited London. We stopped here each morning for coffee and breakfast before we headed for the tube. Coffee was perfect and there were so many pastry options to choose from. The staff were so kind and nice to us each day. The place was always packed (but that's always a good sign) so it may be hard to find a spot to sit and relax with your morning coffee. For those on the go, like us, it was perfect.

My daughter got the "world's best brownie" and agreed that it's the world's Best. I got the mini cheesecake tart - wow! The crust was so buttery soft and the filling was perfection. I know I'll be thinking about it for days to come. I also got a soy vanilla latte. Love that they didn't overdo the sweetness but it is stronger than most. The flavor was great

Popped in for a cup of coffee and a small breakfast bite. This place is a gem! They have an assortment of mini pastries here and they also feature Union hand-roasted coffee here (yum)!!! I also like the seating area tucked away in the back of the bakery, a perfect spot to enjoy your drink and chat with your friend on a leisurely day. Give this place a try!

Ahhhhh, where to start? This place is amazing, great food, friendly service, and good vibe.
The menu is filled with interesting options i would say British with a gastro flare. If you are going for brunch or breakfast please do yourself a favor and try the society Benedict; 2 poached eggs perfectly sitting on top of fluffy and toasted English Muffins sandwiched between this is avocado English bacon and the star of the show, perfectly cooked lobster, the running yoke and hollandaise sauce make this an experience. The prices are standard for the city but for the quality I say much better.

Paul Rhodes is located close to Kensington Palace. We took a short coffee break here right after our walk at the Kensington Garden. I like this place because of their variety of pastries and they are all fairly priced. Anything from salty to sweet is available. They have all the standard espresso drinks and complimentary still water.

I order the sausage roll along with a large cup of latte. Everything can be reheated in the oven if desired. Within 5 minutes my order was delivered. The latte art was poorly constructed but that wasn't a big deal for me. I'll take a good tasting cup of

When in London I always loved stopping in here, usually for a coffee and a croissant and on my way out the door I'd get whichever loaf of bread caught my eye.

I really want to love Paul Rhodes, as it's within walking distance of my flat, but I've been several times since moving to London and I've been less impressed each time. The shop itself is nothing special, which is surprising since the first thing you see when you walk in is this sprawling array of breads/pastries (quite unlike any other display I've seen) but past that, it's average in every way.

Service is fine, the staff are pleasant but it seems like it takes a while to get coffee, especially when eating in. I haven't tried anything from the bakery, which could

We were staying the weekend with friends who live nearby, and when we arrived I asked our hosts where I could get a cup of coffee. "Oh, there's a little coffee shop on the corner that should do the trick." Did it ever.

The shop is a combination of bakery and cafe, with a full selection of breads, baked goods, pastries, cookies, meringues, and a full coffee menu. There are also a handful of tables for people to sit and enjoy their food and drink.

I had a latte, my daughter had a hot chocolate, and we split a chocolate croissant. Everything was delicious, especially the latte, whose

O my days! Why don't I use this place more at a mere 10 min stroll from my house. The breads they sell look amazing as do the cakes and pastries. The sandwiches are worth every penny (£4 for a jam packed roll) and there is quite a selection. They also toast them which although seemed to take an age was well worth it. You can eat in or takeaway so we took our sandwiches to Kensington Gardens as it was a sunny day (also meaning we didn't have to pay the eat in cost). They put the roll on a small paper plate and wrap it in a bag which makes it so much easier to eat and meant it was still

I always pass by this place on the bus and decided to finally try it out. Came here to buy some treats for a dinner party so I pretty much picked a couple of everything that looked good to me.
The pecan tarts and the brownies were the best in my opinion. The pecan tart had just the right amount of filling with a delicious crust. There is nothing worse than when you have a thick jelly mess in your pecan pie. The brownies were thick, fudgy and chocolicious.
Service here was great. They packaged everything separately for me as I had quite a few items and I did not want them mashing together on the

Notting Hill Gate is quite a coveted postcode in London with some lovely properties. Paul Rhodes bakery lives up to the aspirations of the local residents

To be honest, it's not located in the more salubrious part of the main road but the quality of the products on display in the window firstly attract your attention and then draw you into the shop

They have an impressive array of bread, all baked slowly with traditional ingredients and the staff will tell you about their breads with pride

However, it's their naughty treat selection which is overly enticing. I was drawn to their lemon
