Services
The club very quickly gained a reputation for quality coaching and a great training environment. We consistently brought in internationally renowned coaches for gradings and seminars, the first time this had been done in Dorchester. A steady increase in demand for our classes led us to move into a full-time venue in 2012.
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu or BJJ is a grappling art that shot to fame when Royce Gracie won the first UFC competition in 1993 by beating larger and stronger opponents, Royce took them to the ground and used BJJ to submit them via arm locks and chokes. BJJ practitioners wear a Gi similar to a Judo suit and specialise in takedowns and submissions on the floor.
Our Strength and Conditioning classes combine a periodised strength programme with high-intensity workouts that utilise barbells, kettlebells, dumbells, battling ropes and slam balls. The mix of strength training and constantly varied workouts allows our clients to improve all aspects of their fitness simultaneously.
