Services
Rainbow Pre-School follows the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework (EYFS) which has recently been updated. The EYFS Framework exists to support and monitor all professionals working in the Early Years sector, and explains how and what your child should be learning to support healthy development by the age of five.
We know that choosing a Pre-School for your child is a very important decision, and should you choose to entrust your child to us, the team at Rainbow will do their utmost to ensure your child enjoys a safe, fun and stimulating environment in which to learn, grow and develop through play. Your child will be appointed a Key Person (member of staff), and a buddy.
Rainbow is Ofsted regulated with charity status, and as a Committee-run Pre-School, working in partnership with parents is essential to all we do. There are many opportunities for parents to be involved and to contribute to the decision-making process and the life of the Pre-School. We encourage regular dialogue with parents about how your child is progressing, and seek to support what you are encouraging in the home.
From the first term after your child's third birthday, your child will be entitled to 15 hours free placement at the Pre-School, which we will arrange for you. Should you wish your child to start before their third birthday, or to do more than the funded 15 hours, you will be charged at the current session rate of 12.75.
