Egerton Pre School Play Group
Egerton Preschool offers high quality child care and education for children age 2 to 5 years. At Egerton we provide a safe and stimulating environment. We work in partnership with parents to help children to learn and develop in a setting which promotes equality and values diversity. As a member of Egerton Preschool your child is given generous care and attention, because of our high ratio of adults to children (1:5).

They will have a chance to join with other children and adults to play, work and learn together. They will be helped to take forward their learning and develop by being helped to build on what they already know and can do. Your child will also be given the chance to establish the basis of reading and writing through well chosen stories, songs, rhymes and games.
Services
Egerton Preschool is open term time only. Children aged 3 are entitled to 15 hours per week of free childcare from the term after their 3rd birthday. We are a dedicated Preschool who aim to provide the best we possibly can for your children. In order for us to be able to do so, we ask that Parents/Guardians are able to provide a small contribution of 10 per two terms to allow us to provide a variety of healthy snacks throughout the day.
On Thursday and Friday afternoons preschool will now be based at Egerton C of E primary school. This will give us the opportunity to use their woodland area! We will also be offering breakfast club at preschool from 8:30 - 9:00, Mon-Fri. These sessions will be charged at 2.50 each and your child will be offered cereal, toast and juice.
Flamingos is a Preschool session held on Friday afternoons, 1pm - 3pm, in Egerton C of E Primary School. This session runs in the Summer Term from Easter until the Summer holiday and the aims, values and policies of the Preschool still apply. This session is available for children in the summer term, before leaving to join school, and is staffed on an adult to child ratio of 1 : 8.
As a member of the Preschool learning Alliance, Egerton Preschool recognises parents as the first and most important educators of their children. The staff members see themselves as co-workers with you in providing care and education for your child. Exchanging knowledge about their children's needs, activities, interests and progress with the staff.
No-one ever likes the idea of a Committee; many will run a mile at the thought! However, as a Charity, Egerton Preschool must have a Committee who help support the excellent work of the staff. You can make your role on the committee as involved as you want to be, from Chairperson or Treasurer to fundraiser or just turn up at the pub, have coffee/wine and chat about how we can help the preschool.
