Fairly quiet set in a nice location. Nothing fancy and facilities basic , staff seemed friendly enough .
No entertainment but there's a nice walk long the river down the road and a bar at Essex marina , food till 3 there. Drinks till 8pm I was told.
Site states there's a pub restaurant within a mile walk , it's about 2.5 miles away unfortunately and cabs are not local.
Theres a very small fishing lake that has lots of small carp, that was fun with the kids for an afternoon :-)
Parks has 3 swings, a slide and a small frame and 2 small springy animal seats for toddlers.
Dog was not allowed off

Quiet holiday park. Stayed one night in campervan on the touring section of the site. This is situated furthest from the toilets. Showers weren’t open at time of visit due to COVID restrictions. Site isn’t very well suited for young children/toddlers as there is lots of little rivers and streams and none of them are fenced off. Staff were friendly in the shop. And it’s sold a mix of things you might need if you forgot things.

Lovely quiet campsite on the river crouch. It is on a flightpath but that's not a problem during covid times. You can kayak and paddle and fish. Limited facilities and not much for children to do but only 15 mins from Southend.

Our sons half term holiday seemed to be different to most of the rest of the country this October 2018! Not a child in site for him to play with unfortunately but that didn't stop us adventuring and it was end of the season. We were the only ones on site camping with electric hook up. Lovely campsite though and friendly staff. The facilities were clean and good. We caught some lovely sun sets and had a peaceful stay. We will be back another time when the weather warms up. Thank you to the lovely lady in the on site shop who helped me out with some hairspray 😁.
