The Beach Hotel is a well established, family run hotel, located in Sandsend a few miles north of Whitby. The recently refurbished hotel faces the sea and all rooms have magnificent views of the coastline. Services
Sandsend is a delightful picture postcard village with pubs and cafes dotting the sea front. It is a very walkable three miles (depending upon the tides of course) along Whitby's sandy beach, at the end of the bay - hence its name! Two becks run into the sea and form Sandsend's main feature, each one having its own distinct character.

Like a Curates egg, good in parts. Friendly people, our room was good and clean, fantastic sea view and the best breakfast I have had for years. However the hotel is very tired three doors to get through into the bar, each quite scruffy. The bar/reception very tired and scruffy and closed when we arrived back for a drink at 20.30. Despite this I enjoyed my stay. £110 is too much £80 would be more appropriate.
