Simon was fortunate to complete his apprenticeship at a company that won international awards and were commissioned by top class jewellery firms and also well-known high street chains, his apprenticeship included study at Sir John Cass School of Art. He was employed at high street jewellers for both making and repairing jewellery.
In 2006 he opened his own shop in Cliftonville. As it became more popular Helen took over managing the retail side while Simon concentrated on developing the manufacturing and repair work. Ticker the Jack Russell also took his place in the family firm to keep an eye on the use of computers. In 2020 the business moved to larger premises almost opposite their old shop.
