We have samples in store and will take the time to help you decide on the perfect design just for you. Our jeweller, who undertakes all repairs on site, has over 40 years experience in the trade.

We started trading as a Retail Jeweller in 2008, although our Goldsmith Terry has in excess of 40 years experience in the trade. We are a small independent family run business and pride ourselves on giving our customers an enjoyable experience.

Bespoke Report

Our jeweller, who undertakes all repairs on site, has over 40 years experience in the trade. He can make and design jewellery from a picture or idea you have in mind, and will take time to discuss your ideas so you can come to a joint decision of how you would like your piece to look.

Customers often already have a particular idea in mind of something they would like made, so please do not hesitate coming in store to discuss options with our jeweller.

Engraving Report

Engraving items gives them that personal feel and makes any gift just that little bit more meaningful. Whether it be on an engagement ring for that special someone or a brooch or medal needing information, we can do it. We offer a beautiful personalised engraving service here, with a vast range of styles and fonts for you to choose from.

Scrap Gold Report

Here at Ashleys Jewellery we buy old, broken and unwanted jewellery. We check out the latest price on the day and pay the best prices possible. We will offer more on a part exchange basis when purchasing another item from our store. If your items are worth more than scrap value we offer a resale service where we are happy to sell your item for you, taking a small commission and achieving you the customer the best price for your item.

Watches Report

We have a vast range of Citizen, Bulova and Sekonda watches available here at Ashley's. Citizen have a style of watch called 'Eco-Drive'; this is a brilliant concept where the watch runs on light energy and requires no battery change. We can also order in any different style you desire with no fuss.

Terry handmade an exquisite bespoke wedding ring to fit around my unusually shaped engagement ring for a very reasonable cost - about the same as buying a standard ring from a chain store. Lovely friendly staff in the shop too. I would highly recommend Terry's craftsmanship - support your local businesses!

I had a very special family watch “repaired” here - I received it back, eventually after several weeks, and the engraving on the back had been sanded right down. I didn’t request this obviously, and who would do this to an engraving! Then surprise surprise a year later and about three days outside the repair warranty the watch stopped working! They didn’t do the repair in-house and the people I spoke to were helpful, but if they’re still using the same external watch repair company I wouldn’t touch them with a barge pole.

Warm, friendly and efficient service. My watch battery was replaced whilst I waited, with it only taking a few minutes and great value at just £5. Much better and, no doubt, significantly cheaper than high street chain jewellers.
