Threemilestone Playgroup & Toddler Club
Sharing the grounds of the County Primary school, our building is a purpose built learning and nurturing environment. We exist in close partnership with the main school, but are a separate charity-status organisation. Threemilestone Pre-School is a member of the Pre-School Learning Alliance and we are run by an elected committee according to the PLA constitution, and are visited by representatives of the PLA regularly.

We have been providing high quality teaching and learning since 1992. In late 2008 our previous Elliott Hut buildings were condemned and we temporarily moved into the spare classroom in the main school. We had some very positive feedback and constructive advice and are very pleased with the outcome.
Services
At Threemilestone Pre-School, learning is about much more than simply imparting knowledge. We believe that it's vital to provide individual support for every child. We ensure that our children learn for life. Our teaching gives them the knowledge they need to prepare for their future. We use a variety of additional study methods, offering a more inclusive form of teaching, to provide children with a better chance of success.
These self-help skills give children the confidence and an insight into what happens at primary school!. Cliff organised two weeks of exciting physical activities for the children to enjoy both indoors and outdoors including obstacle courses, chasing bubbles, boats and bridges. We also undertook our annual Sponsored Trundle whereby the children could ride their bikes and scooters in the school playground completing circuits around the staff.
Here's some of the things that we have been up to since our return to Pre-school after Easter. Our Annual Water Fight is a great way for children to learn that the grown-ups can have fun too - needless to say we all got soaked! There was lots of water and laughter! For the last 10 years, we have celebrated our children's journey into primary education by holding a Graduation Ceremony to wish them well.
As the first educators of their children, parents are a very important part of Pre-School life. We have an 'open door' policy, and actively encourage the involvement of parents in many ways. We encourage parents to share their skills and interests as well as their time. We operate a 'Keyworker' System whereby a key person is assigned to a small group of children.
We operate a waiting list for spaces. If you would like your child to attend or for more information please do not hesitate to email or call for a prospectus. On admission to Pre-School parents are asked to provide information relating to their child's development, via a "Chat Wheel" to support their child's learning.
