The Crypt is a well established Pre-school, which has been run by a Committee since it opened in 1970. It is situated in a residential area, close to local schools and within easy walking distance of Falmouth Town centre. The Playroom operates from The Crypt of St. Mary's Church with its own level access, kitchen, children's toilet area, and outdoor play space.
The outside play area is accessible from the main playroom allowing free flow play. The Crypt Pre-school is within walking distance of Kimberley Park, which we visit regularly to explore the large grounds, pond and play area. The children learn the importance of exercise and how to be healthy whilst developing their physical skills.

Services
In recent years more importance has been placed on the quality and content of provision for pre-school children. For the Pre-school to qualify for three and four year old funding we must comply with OFSTED guidelines and undergo, and pass, OFSTED Inspections. The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) sets the standards that all early years providers must meet to ensure that children learn and develop well and are kept healthy and safe.
