My name is Christopher Young. My philosophy at the time was to offer every client the same care and attention that I would give to a close family member. That philosophy holds true to this day. We offer a personalised client journey and would love everyone to be able to express their personality through their eyewear.
Your 60 minute eye test will be with a fully qualified, experienced and senior optometrist. All of our clients value their eyesight, so they want to know that they are seeing an expert who is utilising the most modern instrumentation and techniques available. They also want to know that they are seeing someone who cares as much about their sight as they do, and that they are getting the best attention.
Contact lenses give us the freedom to interact with others without the barrier of a lens. We can play sport, go walking in the rain, and cook without them steaming up or getting covered in raindrops. They are a practical way of improving our quality of life and allowing us to perform day to day activities more efficiently than when wearing spectacles.
Whenever an individual has trouble concentrating to read, it is critical to check for vision problems before labelling the difficulty as 'dyslexic ' or having an 'attention deficit disorder'. This is especially true for children. One of the main tools for comfortable reading is binocular and perceptual function.
At Christopher Young Opticians we believe in offering our clients the highest standard of clinical care. The Christopher Young Opticians' EyeCare Plan enables clients to access our 60-minute Advanced Eye Examination, using state-of-the-art diagnostic technology. Examinations are conducted as often as necessary, and you can be seen for any emergency or concerns about your eyes/vision without extra charge.

Just yesterday went to get my new glasses which are really good as usual as well as discount if you sign up to care plan
By doing this I also had treatment at that appointment for small cyst on inside of my eyelid. Great it seems to have cured the problem with no delay or fuss about anything

Very welcoming by all staff. Chris was fantastic at making the appointment for my 8 year old very calming and straightforward. I was recommended by a friend and I am delighted that we saw Chris. Now I know why my son behaves the way he does and I am sure the exercises Chris gave him will help him enormously.

After searching for a local independent optical service and reading reviews of some people I knew, I made an appointment and was not disappointed! A friendly and helpful reception, a full ‘eye’ service with tests and encouragement, and the results fully explained to me. Friendly and professional team with engaging eye contact, I felt it was a personal, local service and I’d never go back to a ‘chain’/franchise again as I have full confidence in these professionals!

Fantastic and helpful receptionists. Our daughter felt special and excited with the idea of needing glasses for the first time, as the receptionists were so positive and made choosing frames fun! They were so patient and went the extra mile to go through so many samples. Chris made our daughter feel very comfortable when having her eyes tested and explained things clearly to both of us. He was extremely thorough and the consultation was unrushed. Lovely selection of frames and spotless rooms. Highly recommend this practice.
