Lower Lacon Caravan Park started life as the back entrance of the Aston Park American Army Camp (which was a munitions and distribution depot) built in the 2nd World War, on land compulsory purchased from Clive's paternal grandfather.
When they were developing the area they lost a D8 Bulldozer (it sank in the soil) so the Americans covered most of the Park with hard-core up to a depth of 3 feet, brought from local foundries, (which makes pegging in most places quite difficult) but this means we have never had to turn any customers away due to bad weather as our pitches stay hard all the time.

Absolutely brilliant. New to caravanning and was recommended to stay at Lower Lacon. We've been back about 6 times since and it's still as brilliant as the first time. Bernie is brilliant and always very helpful. Her customer service is amazing and she is brilliant with our little boy who loves the 2p machines in Jakk's bar. Would highly recommend Lower Lacon and their fantastic staff members. See you again soon

Nice little park, has goats, llama's and sheep around the park which is nice for the kids to see. There are 2 little park area's for children ( but they are small )
Facilities are not great to be honest and are spread out so there's a chance you may not be close to them if you stay.
There's a little bar and a clubhouse that has entertainment on of a night which is good, but there aren't many seats so you have to get there early if you want to have the night in there.
Outdoor heated swimming pool, you do have to book a time slot though so book as soon as you book in.
Not far from a nice little

We were so glad to be back again. Rob and the team have done an amazing job updating and renovating the site while it's been closed. The new booking system for the pool was brilliant even on busy days you know there will always be enough room for a swim with Bernie making sure it was fair and fun for everyone as always. Chris and the other wardens making sure everyone is ok and having everything they need for a good holiday. It has been a great week and can't wait to be back next year.
