Services
Out on the water and surrounded by greenery you'd be forgiven for losing your bearings. The club is conveniently located near both the M1, the North Circular and Wembley Park Station. Our weekend adult and youth courses run simultaneously so everyone in the family can go afloat and enjoy themselves.
We race on Sunday mornings all year round at 10am and noon and Wednesday evenings between April and August at 7pm. The year is split into four seasons, with results compiled and prizes awarded. So come and join in and enjoy the action! The Merlin Rocket is a two person high performance development class dinghy with a spinnaker.
Don't forget to sign on before each race. Signing on sheets can be found in the starting hut. Failure to sign on may result in you not getting a finish. Retiring boats not finishing within 45 minutes of leading boat. Retiring boats not finishing within 2 hours of the start. The length of the race for the leading boats should be in the region of 1 hour 10 minutes.
Wembley members are required to complete a small number of duties throughout the year to support club racing. Manage your duties online at DutyMan. If you can't find what you're looking for by visiting the pages above, get in touch and we'll do all we can to help.
We are a lively club with all year round racing and events and a busy training section, so there's always something going on. The Welsh Harp (or officially Brent Reservoir) covers 100 acres, and is just under a mile in length, with the impressive backdrop of the Wembley Stadium arch. We have large car and dinghy parks and an excellent clubhouse, with changing facilities, hot showers and central heating.

Thoroughly pleasant place to train with a nice big brave bit of water, had terrible weather, so early (involuntary!) capsize drills(that we were guided through nicely by a suspiciously dry instructor! ) reefed sails and gusts, but nonetheless steered through to achieve some very competent feeling sailing on day two, boat did as predicted, bar a few metres of misjudgement, which was a very long way from my starting skills on day one. Clem, our Instructor was keen and observant to take us off the water when diminishing returns were occurring, redrill or revise our knowledge, and to give is time to

I came across the club searching on the Web. After a short introduction E mail, Colin invited me on Sunday for a laser racing and it was great. He is extremely kind and available, clearly passionate about sailing. The other members of the club are nice and inclusive. I have just done my membership and I can't wait to be part of the club.

My wife and I and have done the Level 1 and Level 2 sailing courses recently and absolutely loved them both. The people we've met on the courses have been amazing and the teaching has been awesome.

Went to a taster sailing session with my wife here -- amazing experience! John (our instructor) is a superb teacher, we started to sail on our own in no time (without any prior experience). Also, I enjoyed John's company a lot.

Best club out there, it felt like the instructers were there to teach, instead of in it for the money which is good as most clubs only care about the money

I love this place. It is a real hidden treasure and the lake itself an oasis of calm. Once if found it i picked up my sailing again and try to be there as often as i can. They have good sailing courses and offer free clubboats that new members can use. The club races Lasers, Merlins and RS200s and people are very happy to share their knowledge.

A terrific sailing club, amazingly only 7 miles from Camden - London's best kept sailing secret. Class sailing in Lasers, RS200's and Merlin Rocket's - no complicated handicap sailing at Wembley SC. Sunday… morning racing all through the year - even at below zero temperatures. No laying up for the winter at this club!! Wednesday evening racing too during the summer months followed by beer and pizza at the clubhouse. The best sailing in London by far.

Great teaching with good quality equipment and a decent place to sail, especially for beginners as it is not usually that windy and it is a very safe place to sail aswell as being fun and exciting.
