Our recent West Country offshore trip ended with a bang as members enjoyed viewing the National Fireworks Competition in Plymouth on the last night of the trip. Well done to all the London Corinthian Sailing Club members who took part in this year's Fastnet Race. Congratulations to Peter Hopps and the crew on Sam for winning the Performance Cruiser Class C at Cowes Week.

In 1894 LCSC was established by a group of sailing enthusiasts who launched their boats from Bell Steps, beside the Black Lion pub and close to the Hammersmith and Chiswick border (giving the club the Black Lion ensignia). In the early years the members were all men and used to meet at each other's homes to discuss sailing matters.
Joining LCSC is very easy - we are a very welcoming club and do not have any set criteria for membership, just an interest in sailing! Please join us for the 1st Tuesday* of the month for our New Member Club Night. A good time to arrive is after 7:30pm. Our membership secretary will host a short presentation on what the club has to offer, followed by a Q & A session.
London Corinthian Sailing Club have very active yacht and dinghy sailors - with many members doing both! A lively programme of events runs year-round. Dinghies have been raced on the River Thames at Hammersmith since 1894. We sail every weekend all through the year, racing on the reach that extends for two-and-a-half miles between the bridges at Hammersmith and Barnes.
LCSC is an RYA Recognised Training Centre. Through the club there is access to a programme of yacht theory and practical courses, as well as dinghy training such as RYA Level 1 and 2 courses, plus powerboat and safety boat courses. Outside RYA Accredited Courses, LCSC also organises a number of crew skills development courses and weekends throughout the year.
If you are coming on foot from Ravenscourt Park Station make your way to Rivercourt Road. This will lead you to the A4. You will need to get on the other side of the A4 and in order to do so you please use the underpass which will be found by walking all the way to the end of Rivercourt Road and then turning left.

I am currently taking a first aid course at this venue, and am really impressed! It is in a beautiful location on the riverside in Hammersmith, and looks very prominent from the outside. The meeting room inside is spacious and tastefully decorated, and works very well for the course. We are also served tea, coffee and delicious pastries/biscuits during our morning and afternoon breaks.

Wonderful club and everyone I've met there since joining in January have been really lovely. Excellent sailing instructors across all boat sizes. Fantastic array of club activities from training courses to sailing holidays. They also organise lots of fun stuff along the river, such as riverbanking, wacky racing in dinghies...but all light hearted. One can be as competitive as one wants...the club has all levels from an Olympic champion to absolute beginners like me. The club is also in one of the prettiest parts of London...you can really get away from it all along the river...and the pubs near

A great club, very welcoming and inclusive. Good for both novices and expert sailors, and a great mix of dinghy, yachting and keel boat sailing to choose from. The club also organise a range of sailing trips too - in recent years, spanning from Canada to the Canaries, the Solent to the Seychelles. One of London's hidden treasures!
