The practice has been open from day 1 of the pandemic. We just have to work differently to keep patients and staff safe. When you need to contact a GP you will receive a telephone call from the GP to assess your problem. If you need a face to face consultation you will be brought down to the surgery.
A very high standard of infection control is operating at the practice. After booking in via the intercom at the door, the clinician you are booked to see will let you into the surgery wearing full PPE and the clinician will let you out again. Please remember to wear a mask. Our letter explains the operation of our flu vaccination program.

Services
It is helpful to give details of the problem to the receptionist so that the appointment is given the appropriate level of priority. You are free to make an appointment with any doctor or the practice nurse. You will be seen at the booked appointment time. Occasionally delay may be caused by sudden emergencies or the unexpected length of some consultations.
Doing the right kind of work is good for your health, including if you have a health condition You don't always need to be fully recovered to go back to work, and in fact it can often help your recovery. Your fit note can help you go back to work when you're able to. Your doctor will not automatically assess that you are not fit for work if you have a health condition.

Whilst I was a student at Newcastle University a few years ago I was registered at this doctors. I had an amazing experience with Doctor Rye when I was ill one time. She was so lovely and caring, she made sure I could get home ok and even called me the following day to see if I was feeling any better and to make sure I was being looked after. I never had an issue making an appointment at this surgery and everyone I spoke with were really friendly.
