Had James come to our house a couple of weeks ago for my daughters birthday party, he brought a variety of animals. The children held snakes, spiders ect he gave them the opportunity to over come fears and they all had an amazing time so did the adults.
They give great advice and always willing to help, I love this shop wont go anywhere else, I would highly recommend them. A bit thank you to James who talked us through various options for my son (everything from corn snake, tortoise, various geckos), as I had my concerns and a load of questions. A bit of internet research goes a long way, but there is no substitute for the in-depth knowledge of someone who clearly knows their stuff!

Aquatic Finatic opened in 1995 and moved to its current premises 2 miles South of Northallerton in 2002. Although originally more an Aquatic outlet with over 100 tanks and ponds of tropical, cold water and pond fish, the shop now has a thriving reptile and pet department. Over the years the shop has built up a good reputation for giving helpful service and advice recommending products we have used and are happy with ourselves.
We understand that some of our customers may be very busy and not have time to keep and maintain a tank or pond. That is why we offer a maintenance and installation service where we make sure you aquarium or pond is kept in tip top condition. We can install and maintain an aquarium in your home or work place.
Parties, schools, colleges, nurseries, residential homes, nursing homes, special needs, ftes and open days. We offer an amazing experience in which people of all ages can interact with our friendly crew. The animal staff are:- Rabbits, Guinea pigs, Owl, Ferrets, Chinchilla, Tortoises, Hedgehogs, Tarantula, Corn snake, Milk snake, Royal python, Giant snail, Cockroach, Hen, Leopard gecko, Bearded dragon and sugar gliders!
Due to lockdown restrictions we are unable to bring the animals to you. However we have started offering virtual sessions over Zoom or Facetime! These sessions consist of showing all the animals and all their unusual features! At the end of the session we go through a Quiz with the children to recap on their knowledge.
Pet therapy also known as animal-assisted therapy (AAT) is a type of therapy that involves animals as forms of treatment. Our pet therapy is available to a wide range of establishments and our experienced pet handlers will interact between people and pets, thus creating a wonderful experience. Sycamore Hall Care Home recently enjoyed Pet Therapy from Aquatic Finatic.

My parents visited when I was in Wales but this was my first visit today (8 Sept) with them. I expected some huge department store sized establishment stocking lots of pond equipment as well as indoor fish and outside a large expanse of tanks stocking a wide variety of pond fish and plants. It was much smaller and a lot more “basic”. But what we did see and get was Lynn who told us what we needed to know and was incredibly helpful in giving us the fish we needed to add to our pond. More than made up for my expectations. I hope to go again.

Amazing experience ! Popped in for a goldfish. Fell in love with a bearded dragon ! The fish is absolutely beautiful, thriving and healthy. Then I had to go back for the beardy ! The most amazing service and a good laugh along the way ! Very informative very friendly, understanding and they really care about the animals. Would recommend 💯 all the staff are fab and so friendly ! So now I have a goldfish and a bearded dragon ❤️🥰
