Absolutely shocking service. Our friends booked a taxi from a village for 11pm and agreed a price. We needed to all be back for a certain time and so pre booking was essential. We called just before eleven to check where they would meet us and they said “we will be 10 minutes”- finally at midnight they arrive, no apology and then say that they will only take us if we pay twenty five pounds more than the agreed fare. We were in a village and so had no choice; already an hour late etc. Customer service is so important and to behave is this way is quite unbelievable and really disappointing for

UNRELIABLE & DISHONEST!! I booked a taxi 4 HOURS in advance and received conformation. When the taxi did not arrive I rang them, only to be told by an automated message that they were searching for a driver and the wait was currently 40mins! Beware that you CANNOT PREBOOK A TAXI, but they will happily tell you that you have. This is dishonest. I ended up having to cycle in the freezing cold and dark and was late for a very important work event. Until they change this dishonest practice I will not use this company again.

Used them regularly & were good. But recently their booking system appears to have changed. That seems to have led to a problem. For a recent booking they claimed not to be able to find my house (got a text before the due time). I phoned immediately. Their responses demonstrated that they hadn’t even sent a car then misled me about when another would arrive. I asked for an explanation to reassure me that they’d be reliable in future. Booked two taxis in advance via the website one on Thursday night another the next morning.
I got a text message to confirm bookings.
A further text to tell me when the cars had arrived at our hotel on both occasions the taxis arrived 5 minutes early and both cars were clean and tidy and both drivers were polite and professional.
We travelled into the city and the journey took about 10 minutes and cost about £7 which we thought was very reasonable.

I called and placed a booking. I was informed that the taxi would take 10-15 minutes. Fast-fowarding 20 minutes of me standing outside of my place waiting in the rain, I called them back, only to hear that my booking was cancelled and probably because I gave my foreign number they weren't able to reach me when they were around. I was standing for 20 minutes there and thankfully, there's a CCTV around to show that no one ever came to my place...They are a hit and a miss, and unfortunately many drivers need a bit of customer service training, as well as phone operators. First rate service from 001 Taxis, Oxford. Excellent communication/contact with them. Had to change bookings a couple of times (an unexpected and last minute change of hotel and then members of our party deciding to leave the venue we were attending a little earlier than planned). These requests were met with no fuss by 001, either initially when we phoned to make the changes, or at point of collect/drop off; in fact they couldn’t have been more helpful. Cars were immaculately clean inside and out, and the drivers were pleasant, friendly and professional. Wholeheartedly recommend this company

Prompt service, good control service, clean taxis and friendly drivers. Staff are efficient and friendly. Nice waiting room with amusement arcade if you fancy a gamble whilst you are waiting for your taxi. Drinks machine available. Rank is centrally located in Oxford and most times you do not need to wait for a taxi.

Of the multitude of taxi companies in Oxford, 001 are among the best. Their service is quite prompt, though understandably it can take some time in the evenings, especially on the weekends. They are quite happy to accommodate requests (such as transporting large amounts of luggage) if you phone them in advance. You get a text from the company when your taxi is about to arrive, telling you what kind of car and what colour it is; alternatively the driver may ring you on your mobile to say they have arrived.
