Most surveyors charge an hourly rate for party wall work- typically 150-250 inc. VAT. However, here at Novello we try to be as transparent as possible and offer a set fee price. I would highly recommend Novello for a building survey - I requested for a quote online and got immediate response, and a follow up email to highlight the details of what is included which I found very useful when comparing services. The office team were fantastic and went above and beyond to get me onto the earliest appointment available.
The surveyor called on the day of the survey and gave me a very thorough run through of their findings as well as the report sent into my inbox the following morning.
All in all very satisfied and huge thanks to the team!

We recently instructed Novello to do a Full Building Survey on a house we are purchasing. From the initial phone call through to the survey everyone I have spoken to has been friendly and incredibly helpful. Surveys are expensive but you get what you pay for and the service has been fantastic. Lewis called us straight after the survey was completed and went through everything with us over the phone and followed that up with the full written survey. I would highly recommend to anyone.

Absolutely amazing surveyors - can't rate them highly enough. James discovered a major structural issue in a property within 30 minutes of the survey that I was considering purchasing, that the seller's surveyors and 3 mortgage surveyors hadn't spotted. James then followed up with me over call and email several times to help me through the next steps, understand a potential valuation and spoke to the estate agents directly to explain the issue. The whole team was fantastic and professional. Wouldn't go with anyone else in future.

James carried out a building survey for me recently. Report very thorough and easy to understand and brought to my attention some issues that I had overlooked. The report allowed me to renegotiate the purchase price with the vendor and I was successful in bringing the purchase price down by £25k! I know some people baulk at the cost of a professional valuation, however this has always seemed a false economy to me. If you are purchasing a property then do the sensible thing and get yourself a decent valuation as it is worth every penny.
