It is often said that buying a home is the largest and most important financial commitment you will make in your lifetime and with rapidly moving property prices in recent times, this has never been more relevant. In order to answer these questions, you will need a local surveyor with detailed knowledge and experience of the area.
The ISVA HomeSurvey is an intermediate survey, in a format produced by the Independent Surveyors' and Valuers' Association. This type of survey is suitable for purchasers of flats and many traditionally constructed houses and bungalows. It is a concise report, designed to report on significant defects and to enable clients to make an informed decision on whether or not they should proceed with the purchase.
We have had other surveys carried out in the past - none of which included photos or a vendor questionnaire, which are both very useful. Also Mr Carver was happy to speak on the telephone with his views about the property, which was very helpful. Very easy to follow, clear, plain English. This is the first surveyor's report I have understood and I required no assistance to help me.

I would not hesitate to recommend David Carver for a property survey. He provided a detailed and comprehensive report that provided insights into the property that were not immediately clear and this helped finalize my decision on whether to purchase or not. He provided timely feedback and clearly outlined the options available before proceeding with my request. I will definitely use David for any future survey needs.

We instructed David already a few years back and we have been extremely pleased with the level of his survey. We actually understood overtime how precise he has been, after living at the property for a while and becoming more familiar with its issues: he has been able to mention in his report every single defect that required more time for us to fully understand.
