We are looking forward to welcoming our clients back in with their pets. However, as we are unable to socially distance from you whilst treating your pets the risk of closure by order of PHE if we have a positive case is too great. The past ten days of enforced reduction of services means our routine appointments are now booked up four weeks in advance and surgeries approximately ten weeks in advance.
Although we still endeavour to see emergencies as quickly as possible if we are forced to close this will not be possible. Our patients' well-being, along with the health and safety of both our staff and clients is of the utmost importance to us and we hope you understand our decision in the current circumstances.

Our professional and friendly staff will offer you a warm welcome at Reception, where we also have a small shop selling medications, treatments, foods & supplements, and of course accessories, toys and treats for your pets.
At Dunelm, we believe the best way to maintain a happy healthy pet is to prevent them from getting injured or poorly in the first place. That's why we have developed our Platinum Care Plan. The Platinum Care Plan includes regularly scheduled visits to the practice so that we have the opportunity to administer any necessary vaccinations and dispense accurate and effective worming and flea treatments.

Have used these vets for over 40 years and wouldnt dream of going anywhere else. We had to take our boy in tonight for an emergency appointment due to the pain he was in and the vet was lovely...lifted him out of the car and carried him into the surgery and he never even whimpered. She gave him a very thorough examination, painkilling injection and medication for arthritis. Very reasonably priced considering the time and care she took amd it was about 10pm when we left with a much more comfortable dog

I cannot praise Dunelm for the care they have given to both my pets. Nothing is too much trouble for them, and the staff will answer questions and give sound advice. This is a very popular Vets and don't be surprised if you have to wait outside for your appointment. It's well worth the wait. The only down side is the limited parking available and as it is situated on a main road, it can be quite difficult to get in and out safely.
