Clifton Lodge Vets opened in 1950 in Hartlepool. Since then we have aimed to provide excellent quality veterinary and nursing care to family pets in our area. We offer an impressive variety of veterinary services from an experienced veterinary team. We have lots of modern facilities with an in-house laboratory, surgical theatres, ultrasonography, digital and dental x-ray.
Along with the vets we have a large team of registered veterinary nurses, students and assistants to ensure your pet is given the very best of care whilst in the practice. Get in touch to book an appointment with our vets or nurses on 01429 272435 for the Hartlepool practice.

Services
Sarah qualified in 2012 and has since worked in county Durham. She joined the practice in 2018 as Clinical Director. Her particular interest is surgery. She owns a Labrador and a labradoodle who loves coming to work and helping out in reception! Louise began working with the practice in 1995 and is now Head Veterinary Nurse and Clinical Coach for student veterinary nurses.
The practice was first established in Hartlepool in 1950 with one veterinary surgeon. In the 1960s surgeries were opened in Billingham and Horden, and in 1980 our Sedgefield branch was opened. Treating both farm animals as well as domestic pets we were thoroughly a mixed practice until 2000. Then when we became a small animal practice only.
We believe in investing in our people as well as our surgeries, facilities and equipment to keep us at the forefront of outstanding veterinary care. Always looking for talented people, we offer first-class training and an excellent workplace for ambitious people willing to learn. If you are interested in a career with Clifton Lodge Veterinary Group please contact us on 01429 272435 or send your CV to info@cliftonlodgevets.co.uk.
Routine surgical procedures are carried out at 3 of 4 branches but we now have expanded services at both the Hartlepool and Horden Surgeries. Hartlepool as our main site has also the benefit of a range of equipment allowing for additional services to be offered. We have equipment for orthopaedic operations, echocardiography (heart scan), blood pressure and eye pressure measuring equipment as well as dental radiography.
In 2005, The Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons started a scheme whereby veterinary business could choose to be inspected and accredited by an independent body. This process is continual, with inspections every 4 years. It is designed to reassure members of the public that the veterinary practice they have chosen for their pet maintains high standards of service and cleanliness and conforms to all relevant UK regulations.

We have just recently changed to this practice and I'm over the moon we did.The facilities are modern clean and clearly well taken care of. The reception staff are friendly, approachable and extremely helpful. The vetritatian was professional and knowledgeable and made sure I understood what was happening and it was obvious that she clearly loved animals . In fact it was obvious that everyone who works at Clifton Lodge loves animals and its not just a job to them .

I would like to thank all the staff and vets at Clifton Lodge in the professional, caring manner they dealt with the recent loss of our pet.
The staff were helpful and friendly and nothing we asked was too much trouble.
They dealt with all the insurance claim related stuff and were not pushy or constantly nagging us over the bill.
They arranged medication for us and explained everything regarding the treatment and eventual outcome of our pets illness.
At the time we had to let our pet go they were faultless and arranged everything for us.

We would like to thank all the staff involved for the wonderful service we have received, looking after all our pets, from the Horden practice.
In particular, we would like to thank the Veterinary Nurse, (sorry we don't know your name), for the warm, sensitive, professional service we have received over the many years we have been going.
Currently, we have really valued the service we have received from your Vet, Serge.
We are looking after an elderly dog, who, we have recently learnt has a terminal illness. Serge's support, at this difficult time, has been really special. We thank him for his
