Services
Farthing Wood is a friendly day nursery situated in the centre of Skircoat Green, near to the Copley site Lloyd's Banking group and the general Hospital. The nursery is a family business owned by Claire Westwood and Emma Hand, whom are both qualified nursery practitioners with young families of their own.
Our bright and homely baby room provides a stimulating and cosy environment, which offers a variety of opportunities to stimulate babies active minds to encourage their learning and development, through use of all their senses. Our spacious baby room provides a safe and secure area, where they can explore and access age appropriate toys at their level and to help promote independence.

Fantastic nursery- the staff are absolutely amazing go above and beyond. The nursery is run like a close knit family (not just a money making business like so many) and they really do have the best interest of the children. They are both knowledgeable and approachable and will often put themselves out to help and support. I honestly can not recommend this nursery and it’s staff enough.

Caitlynne has loved every second at nursery she is going to miss everyone from staff to friends she has made not going to be the same thank you very much for everything you all have learnt caitlynne through the years she has been with you all thank you too all farthing wood staff. When my twin boys where born, I found it really hard and I struggled to get time to do the simplest of jobs. When the boys where 5mths old my husband and I decided to put them in nursery for half a day a week. One to give me some time out and two, for the boys to have time out from home and to socialise with other children. From the moment they… went to farthing woods they blossomed, they love going. The staff are great and have supported us as a family from the very beginning, when times got hard for us, one phone call to them and they were always amenable, supportive helpful and flexible
