Tuel Lane Infant School
Most children leaving Tuel Lane at the end of Key Stage 1 (aged 7) transfer to Christ Church Junior School. From there, most attend Ryburn Valley High School. Each year some children successfully pass entrance exams to Crossley Heath School or North Halifax Grammar. The dedicated, resourceful and effective senior leadership team share a clear vision for improvement.

You know the community that the school serves exceptionally well and are focused on making sure the school remains at the heart of it. Feedback from parents is exceptionally positive. Your careful focus on developing the whole child enables you to ensure that children learn well and also enjoy their childhood.
Services
We have worked closely together for several years. We share a strong commitment, vison and ambition for the school and our families, and we have a strong working relationship built on mutual respect and trust. I have worked at Tuel Lane for a mind-boggling 20 years firstly as a teacher and then, for the last 16 years as Headteacher.
We have made a Loom video and PowerPoint to give parents some information about starting Reception with us in September. We hope that you find it useful. We're looking forward to welcoming the new Rabbits class in September. We've filmed ourselves reading some of our favourite stories and hope that you enjoy watching them.
At the end of Key Stage One aged 7, our children move on to Christ Church Junior School. We are two separate schools but we work extremely closely together throughout the school year to ensure a very smooth transition for our children. For year two pupils there is a full and exciting programme of events leading up to transition.
A common and familiar animal, our only wild member of the dog family. An omnivorous animal, foxes feed on small mammals, birds, frogs, earthworms and carrion, but will also eat berries and fruit. Now just as likely to be seen in towns and cities as in the countryside, where it feeds on food scraps in bins as well as catching pigeons and rats.
