Alex founded the Cutting Edge in 1993, and loves working with her team, while fostering positive working relationships with clients. Alex strives to maintain high standards, and is passionate about working in the industry. Emma is co-owner of the Cutting Edge, bringing a wealth of experience that she employs in her teaching of trainee stylists.

Emma was previously the salon manager, and completed an advanced course at Wella London. Holly is a Senior Stylist and loves transforming clients' hair. In addition to her impressive cutting and colouring skills, she especially enjoys using Great Lengths luxury hair extensions, which brings a valued extra dimension to the salon services.

I had, had my hair cut and coloured in a salon in Pool, Redruth and basically it had been ruined !!
I emailed to see if anyone at Cutting Edge Falmouth could help me.
I received a call within ten minutes, the young lady, on the phone had a chat with me regarding my hair and bless her made an appointment for me for two days later.
I arrived nervous after my previous experience at Pool, the young ladies who work at Cutting Edge were friendly, easy to talk to and put me at ease straight away.
Kim told me that she would be cutting my hair for me, wow how lucky was I .

Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism
Had a consultation with Emma and after our appointment I left with exactly the hair I envisioned. I got foils, colour, and a cut. Everyone was extremely professional and welcoming and I was talked through every step of the way. Never have I left a salon with results more resembling what I imagined in my head. I had a balyage here a couple of weeks ago and the whole experience was fab. The staff are professional and welcoming. Kim and Brooke managed to lift the colour of my hair from darkish brown to super blonde while keeping my hair healthy. Thank you so much, will definitely be back!

Had a colour and cut done by Kym and Brooke w few weeks back now and it was amazing! My first time with cutting edge and they made me feel so relaxed, and I felt wonderful leaving the salon! So friendly, talented and just a lovely bunch of people 🥰 Had so many compliments on my new hair, Will definitely be going back for sure!! ❤️

I decided to book an appointment here because I was so impressed by the salon's many 5 star reviews, and I can safely say that I was not disappointed! Kim was an absolute angel and was so lovely and welcoming. We had a long chat about what I wanted and she constantly checked in throughout the cut to make sure that I was happy with how it was progressing. I invested in the Moroccan Oil Blow-Dry Concentrate because I loved how soft and shiny it made my hair. The whole team could not have been sweeter when I walked in and were also very complimentary when I left. Overall, my experience was amazing

Really welcoming and warm, helped people figure out how to pay and were so patient.
I had Kim (I think sorry of I'm misremembering) and she was so lovely, even with me changing my mind about how short to go, and asking for it shorter. She did everything I asked and was wonderful. Completely recommend

I highly recommend Cutting Edge. During a recent visit, Alex asked me how I felt about my hair. I explained that it felt very straight and lacked any life or umph. Alex suggested a special perm, and I booked in. I am soo pleased with the result. Exactly what I needed! I've had so many compliments and feel so much better. I even popped back in again to have more layers added and this was done with no extra cost. Delighted with my first experience at The Cutting Edge! I was away from home and thus my usual salon so slightly nervous but Alex cut my hair exactly as I asked, used lovely Moroccan Oil treatments and ensured my hair was finished perfectly to withstand the Cornish wind outside!! I was 300 miles from home, staying on our boat in Falmouth Marina. I thought I’d take a risk with an unknown hair salon here at the Marina. Thank goodness I did!! Firstly the safety measures in place here were stringent and thorough and for a super anxious person like myself, I was able to totally relax and feel safe, which is SO important to me. I had my hair cut and coloured by Emma who was a delight to chat to, even with us both masked up!!! I walked out of the salon with a truly amazing cut and colour which I was over the moon with.
