The Quay Mews salon was actually the 1st salon owned by Lana & Vidette. The pair took over from Mr Neil's over 30 years ago and have successfully been styling Truro ever since. This modern petite salon offers the very best in hair care, cutting & colouring in a chilled, more relaxed setting. Also available are Keratin treatments and Hair extensions.

I asked to go back to natural hair colour (a mousey brown) after being blonde for 2 years.
After my hair was dyed and dried it looked jet black, I brought up my concerns which were discouraged. As well as this, the dye was poorly put on, leaving stains on my cheeks.
I rang the next day to explain my concerns and was kindly seen to, immediately. I was offered a free colour fix which I really appreciated. However, after showing the stylist how I wanted to adapt the new and unfortunate colour on me, I was ignored and they proceeded with what they wanted to do to it. This left me feeling out of control

I have a curly hair and cutting it always mortifies me because it is soooo risky and never looks the way i want it to look. I don't remember the name of the lady who cut my hair, but for the first time in my life I was IN LOVE with my haircut! It was exactly what i wanted and I can't wait to go back for my next cut! <3

This is the second time I have been to Inkfish. Today I got a wax with Ally and she's wonderful, made me feel completely at ease. I Didn't feel awkward at all, as you might do with a new person waxing your bits! She is very professional but relaxed with it. I wouldn't go to anyone else in Falmouth. I also got my hair cut by Meg and she gave me exactly what I wanted. 5 stars all round, thanks ladies.

Got my eyebrows waxed here, and although the lady who did them was lovely I was very disappointed. After she’d finished she asked me if they looked ok. The lights were so bright I couldn’t actually see into the mirror very well so I said they looked perfect. I got home and looked in the mirror and they were far from perfect, they didn’t look like they’d been waxed at all, it looked messy and I still had to pluck the majority of the hairs myself - complete waste of £10, will certainly not be returning

This was my first time visiting Inkfish as I usually visit another salon at home, staff were welcoming and chatty, however the haircut wasn't up to standard. a shaped piece was cut in around my face which doesn't sit properly and wasn't graduated into my hair. It hangs like a shelf instead. I also can't tie my hair back without this falling out because it's too short.
I've also noticed that my layers aren't sitting properly anymore and upon straightening my hair, noticed that they're very bitty and I can see each individual layer and not natural looking at all when in the past my layers have been

Very disappointed. Possibly the worst haircut I’ve ever had. My hair is all uneven- the 2 sides are different lengths and the back looks like a basin cut- no attempt to blend and graduate the layers in my short pixie-style bob. No amount of styling or products will help the cut lie properly, and it’s nothing close to the photo I provided. I don’t wish to go back to Inkfish to rectify the problems, as I’m not confident the stylist knows what she’s doing to have created such a mess of my hair in the first place.

I went to inkfish as I had been recommended by a friend who knew I was looking for a decent salon in Truro after receiving poor service from the one I was using. I had a stylist that made me feel very uncomfortable. I started to explain what I wanted (not a million miles away from how I had it already) and as I had never been there before I brought a picture.
