We are a local, independent high street shop with a wide range of products in stock to cater for your pet's needs. Whether you have dogs, cats, cage birds, fish, chickens or small "furries" such as rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, ferrets or chinchillas we have something for you.
And we also have a section of the shop dedicated to local wildlife - perfect for anyone who enjoys feeding garden birds, hedgehogs or the ducks in the ponds. Herne Bay Pet Shop is a family run business managed by husband and wife Rob and Sarah (with the "help" of our 8yr old son Ed). We are also assisted during the week by our team, Amy, Jasmin, Helen, and Sara.

If you're a dog owner then chances are you're familiar with some of the popular brands of dry biscuit such as James Wellbeloved, Burns, Pedigree or Arden Grange. Or you may have used some of the wet foods which are. A regular topic of conversation in the shop is fleas and how to protect either a customer's home or pet from them.
For a long time Herne Bay Pet Shop has been well-known for selling birds. Our birds live in three indoor flights which allow them to stretch their wings in a spacious environment that is set up with toys, perches and places to find food and water. We have connections with some local breeders and can also purchase from a national supplier which means we can source a wide variety of healthy birds at competitive prices.
It's been a while since I've been into this pet shop but the range of stock and variety of foods, toys etc. etc. is really impressive. I'll definitely be a regular! Parking close enough for long enough to somewhere who sells my dog's favourite food and then, lugging it all back to the car was becoming a nightmare for me.

This pet shop is great. You walk in and looks small but it goes back quite a way. They sell dog food, cat food, bird food, guinea pig and rabbit food etc at a really competitive price. I purchased some Australian cockatiel food and saved approximately £2 on the same thing other stores sell it for. The shop is very clean and tidy and the gentleman is really friendly. Will go back soon. 😃
