At Watton at Stone Preschool our focus is our children - ensuring they are happy, healthy and confident. We do this by providing a nurturing, stimulating, fun and secure environment. We've been operating since 1967 with a strong reputation in the local and wider community. This means we are better placed than ever to support our children's development and ensure a seamless transition from Preschool to Nursery and Nursery to Reception.
A high ratio of adults to children means we provide individual care and attention, ensuring every child is special. When children first start coming to Preschool they each have a Keyperson who supports their needs and works closely with parents to make each child's time with us happy, productive and a home from home.

When I first arrive I can find my peg with my name and picture on, hang up my coat and bag, put my book bag and Lunch box in the correct boxes. When I hear the tambourine jingling I will stop what I'm doing and wiggle my fingers in the air. We listen to the Tidy Up music whilst we tidy the toys away and find a space to sit on the carpet.
It is our intention to make our setting accessible to children and families from all sections of the local community. We aim to ensure that all sections of our community have access to the setting through open, fair and clearly communicated procedures. We take great pride in the development of the children in our care and the environment we create to keep them safe and having plenty of fun.
Please note we can only accommodate ad hoc sessions and lunch clubs if there is space on the day required. Some children are eligible for 15 hours funding per week from the first term after their 2nd birthday. All children are eligible for 15 hours of funding per week from the first term after their 3rd birthday.
There's no uniform at Watton at Stone Preschool. Children can wear any home clothes that are suitable for them to play in all environments. There are, however, some things you may need to remember about your child's day at Preschool. 1 The children love messy play and, as part of the Early Years Framework this is an area that has an ongoing focus as it helps to develop creativity and imagination, physical development and fine motor skills.
