The Pre-school is attached to the village hall in a lovely rural setting surrounded by fields in the beautiful village of Datchworth. We have a purpose built classroom that has been designed to exceed the needs of our children and to provide a happy and stimulating environment. Our excellent all-weather canopy means that children are able to play outdoors all year round.
Datchworth Pre-school creates happy, confident, independent learners through strong adult relationships and a wealth of learning experiences in a secure, safe environment. Following our most recent inspection we were thrilled to have been rated 'GOOD' in all areas by Ofsted.

Services
We have a fantastic, long-serving team of dedicated, caring and qualified staff who nurture children through their early educational years. Each child is assigned a key-worker who will keep a learning journey for your children's developmental progress. An efficient management committee oversees administration and fundraising activities.
Here at Datchworth Pre-school, we take children from the age of 2 to rising school age with admissions in September and January. We have a limited number of places available for children who are aged 2 before the start of the academic year. We aim to make sure that our setting is accessible to children and families from all sections of the local community.
As any parent will know, it can be a daunting prospect when it comes to choosing a Pre-school for your child's education and understanding how the Pre-school works. Here at Datchworth, each child has a key-worker who will help your child to settle in and keep a record of their learning-journey. Sessions are great fun as well as being educational.
Our team of staff are highly qualified and have regular updates on courses such as First Aid, Diversity, SEND (special needs) and Safeguarding. All staff are parents and are aware of the individual needs and demands of children. Our 'hands-on' approach means that children always feel like they are valued as an individual and have a relaxed, home from home environment.
