Here at Kimpton Preschool, we know that the only way to truly understand children is to spend quality time with them and build relationships that are based on sincerity and fun. Children learn at their highest level during play but for this to be achieved there needs to be quality and spontaneity. It takes time and sensitivity to 'tune in' to our children, to wallow in their play, alongside them.

We know that the only way to really understand children is to spend some quality time with them. Preschool Manager/Leader Shahnaz Vayani explains how we do this at Kimpton. Last week I was able to spend part of my working day doing one of my favourite things - baking.
Since I started at Kimpton Preschool, the children (with adult assistance) have made pizzas, bread, muffins and cakes of all sorts - and I get just as excited about putting hundreds and thousands on as they do.Last week I also got to spend time reading stories to a group of children, who I can see are fascinated by the imaginary world they are entering.

Our greatest asset is our staff team, which is experienced, knowledgeable and committed. Manager Shahnaz Vayani has many years of experience in early years and her unique approach means each of our children starts their day feeling valued, loved and appreciated.
Staff qualifications range from NVQ Level 3 to Level 6 (graduate) and all employees receive child protection and first aid training as standard, in addition to the many courses and professional networks they attend during their time with us.We have a trained SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) who keep up to date with best practice and can advise on any child who may have additional needs or special requirements.

Welcome to Kimpton Preschool, where we aim to put the fun into learning. Open to all who share our vision, we like to think that we go that little bit further for the children in our care. We are open Monday to Friday, 8.50am to 3pm (including an optional Lunch Club session), term time only. A morning session costs just 19.50.
We are open to anyone who wants to join us and so accept children from Kimpton and the surrounding area (we do not intend to use distance from the preschool as eligibility criteria unless we become heavily oversubscribed). As a community preschool, rather than a private enterprise, our priority is the inclusion of as many eligible children as possible.
This, along with your 15 administration fee (see below for more details), holds your place on our admissions list. You will be asked to give a preferred start date at this point and we will contact you the term before that to give you an idea of how your registration is progressing. We would, however, warn you in good time if we were unable to offer your child a place, and return your administration fee.
