Hannah offers weekly yoga classes that offer you space and time to focus your mind, strengthen your body, bring awareness to seasonal energy and allow yourself a moment to just breathe. We all deserve to take some time out from our busy day, to check in with ourselves, to find some mental space away from distraction and discover the wonders of our breath.
Taking influences from traditional Hatha Yoga and Traditional Chinese Medicine, Seasonal Yoga invites us to practise in tune with the seasons energy. Summer holidays are coming to a close, kids back to school, routines back in place. Welcome to the Late Summer Seasonal. A time to ground, settle, come back to ourselves as the seasons shift towards Autumn.

With so many classes and styles of yoga on offer these days it is always a good thing to try out a few different ones before you find the class that best suits you. And remember, going to a yoga class should not be about comparing yourself to the person on the mat next to you - its a time to leave your ego to one side and allow yourself to just be your true self.
I have been going to Hannah's Mindful Ashtanga class for some time now and its a great way to start the week. I particularly enjoy the way Hannah takes us through the series of moves allowing time to get each posture right with hands on guidance where necessary. Everyone in the class is encouraged to develop their practice within their own capabilities and it is good to feel the improvements.
Release and let go, allow time to nourish your body and mind as you hold specific seasonal postures for a few minutes at a time. Let yourself surrender to the earth and find peace in this 75 minute practise with closes with a guided meditation. These workshops offer the opportunity to try some more advanced and challenging postures.
If we look at nature, we see how its energy fluctuates; slowing down in Winter, picking up pace in Spring, warming up in Early Summer, reaching full flow during the Summer and then returning to centre in Autumn.
If we are mindfull of these seasonal energetic changes and adapt our way of living throughout the year; through food, sport, behaviour, emotions, and our yoga practise; then we can begin to balance our energy and work towards living a healthy and happy life.

Late summer is an important transitional season, a time to re-centre, create stability, balance and comfort, in preparation for the cooler yin stages of autumn and winter. The element for late summer is EARTH and this rules the Stomach and Spleen, the two primary organs of digestion. The STOMACH not only receives the food we eat but it also processes emotional and mental food.

Attended the Yoga for beginners class which is held at the St Peters Church hall in Hersham on Monday evening. The venue was spacious and a comfortable temperature. Hannah was very welcoming. The session was really enjoyable and Hannah gave the right amount of instruction and guidance. I would thoroughly recommend Hannah and Zone In Yoga to anyone who is thinking of beginning Yoga :)
