WE ARE OPEN TO TAKE YOUR DOGS AND CATS: Please see our protocol below for dropping off and collecting. Thanks for coming to look at our Website. Have a look around and feel free to drop in at Belmont, during opening hours ( except Sunday's ) and take a look around for yourself. We offer individual attention and care leaving you to go away without worrying about the welfare of your dog or cat.

Most of our clients come to us by recommendation and our terms are very competitive. Due to the poor telephone lines and signal for satellite ( wifi ) being so unreliable, it is not possible to have payments made by credit/debit cards. Therefore payment is by cheque or cash only. To all of our customers past and present Andrew and I hope you and your families are well and keeping safe.
Services
Trevor & Andrew and are celebrating our 14th year here at Belmont and we thank all our customers /friends, past and present, for their continued support. We offer individual attention and care leaving you to go away without worrying about the welfare of your dog or cat. Most of our clients come to us by recommendation and our terms are very competitive.
The main Kennel block of 10 kennels are designer kennels, hard wearing, weather resilient and insulated. Heated during the long winter months, holding the heat, but cool in the summer months. The floors are all tiled and the sleeping areas have either platforms or plastic bed. We provide all clean bedding but like you to bring just a small item with you to use in the bed to remind your pet of home.
Our Cattery is away from the kennels so the cats are never disturbed by dogs barking. It is an indoor Cattery modern and light. Soft beds and bedding are provided but you are welcome to bring your own if you prefer as well as a favourite toy or blanket. We have a variety of dried and wet foods but if you prefer you can bring along your pets own food.
We opened the Hydrotherapy pool in 2004 and have had many successes where dogs have not had to have an operation. The enjoyment of swimming virtually pain free can be so beneficial not only physically but mentally. The temperature of the pool remains at 30 to 34 degrees and the chemical levels controlled automatically.
Belmont kennels, in our opinion is the Rolls Royce of kennels, and we would highly recommend them, and have done so to our friends and neighbours. Our cat was not the easiest cat to get on with, but Andrew and Trevor used to handle her so well. We have since lost her due to poisoning but if we do get another cat in the future she will definately stay at Belmont!

I knew these people well. We stayed with them several times. I went round the kennels more than once with Andrew Fews and remarked how cute, pretty or lovely a certain dog was. Many times, his answer was 'I don't like it. It's horrible'. These are the beloved pets you are leaving there. Believe me, I've seen it, they get a little run round between the pens if they're lucky. I won't lie, they are kept immaculately clean and well fed but if that's enough for your dog, so be it.

Fabulous welcome from Andrew. I felt very comfortable boarding my dog here even though I couldn't view the kennels due to covid 19 restrictions. The reception area was spotless and Winston was very happy to leave me and go in. I was pleased to see that Winston was super happy around Andrew when I collected him. Had a good chat about his stay and what he got up to. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend!

Belmont kennels are the best Andrew and Trevor are great been taking care all our furry family along the way for last 15yrs or so first our dogs who sadly no longer with us and I no they can handle anything because our smallest dog was very nervous but they took great care of her and when they decided to start the cattery that made it even better
The cat we have now needs medication every day and I have no issue leaving her there as I know what a great job they do I really can't reccomend them enough and they always find time to chat thanks Andrew and Trevor for the peace of mind knowing in good

We went to look around before placing our dog there. We were met with the most disgusting attitude about us wanting to inspect the kennels. There was no play area and we were told that the dogs exercise was a walk up and down the grass verge outside. Also a very horrible odour followed us as we looked at the caged runs. Nothing like the pictures on the website.
Luckily we had alternative kennels to look at, and were more than happy to place her elsewhere

I rang up this place to ask for information and possibly boarding my staffie cross early next year as I haven't used kennels before and the bloke I spoke to was disrespectful about the breed, reluctant to take staffies as they attack other dogs. I am 28 and have grown up with staffies, never once has one even growled at me or another dog. Disgusting attitude, I bet if a different breed had an altercation with another dog, he wouldn't be reluctant to take that breed.

My cats stayed here and it was the first time they had been in any cattery. One confident cat but one nervous and clingy cat. We returned after a week and I think the cats looked better than when they were dropped off! Shiny coats and no weight-loss. Two happy cats, not at all disturbed by being left and seem to have actually enjoyed their visit! Will be using again and highly recommend. Thank you for taking such good care of my cats

Dog God? I don't think so!
We gave a home to Donna, a four year old German Shepherd, after Andrew Fews had finished breeding with her. The story was that he had rehomed her with a local couple but after a week, they brought her back because she was frightened of pushchairs. He told us these people had ruined the dog and also a puppy they had had from him.
The dog was terrified of everything, people, cars, pushchairs, bikes, etc. She was virtually agoraphobic. She had separation anxiety but apart from that, in the house, she was the sweetest, gentlest, most loving dog and no trouble whatsoever
