Foxholes Boarding Kennels & Cattery are a family run business with over 40 years of experience in looking after both cats and dogs. Based in Bilsthorpe, half way between Mansfield and Newark, our kennels and cattery are located in the peaceful countryside of Nottinghamshire, and are the ideal place to leave your beloved pets while you enjoy a holiday or have a weekend away.

We cater for all breeds of dogs and have a specially designed cattery. Within a safe and secure setting, our experienced staff are on site 24/7 and are always sympathetic to your pets individual needs, making sure our animal boarders receive the best care and attention. Following on from our successes with the Great Danes, we moved on to breeding West Highland white terriers in conjunction with a large breed boarding kennel service.

If owners have 2 or more dogs that need boarding, then we can cater for these together, and we will endeavour to keep to the owners feeding routines. If your dog has a favourite blanket then bring it along. Also, if there are any special dietary requirements, please give us details so that your dog really does get the best possible care.

Our Border collie had a fantastic week here in October, staff are lovely, and I have recommended the kennels to lots of Mt animal friends.

Their website states in bold ‘call at anytime’ so we did. In a moment of need we called them at 8pm which we wouldn’t of done if there websites didn’t clearly state what it did, for a rude man abruptly telling us to call back in the morning. My partner rang him and I could here the man in the phone being really arsey and raising his voice. If there were another means of contact (email) then we would of done that instead but the fact it even mentions ‘call at anytime’. Safe to say from that delightful phone call we would not recommend.
