Churchdown Osteopaths
At Churchdown Osteopaths, we've been effectively treating people of all ages for a variety of issues ranging from specific acute injuries to chronic health problems since 1978. We have a special interest in the treatment of babies and children. We listen carefully to your problem and try to truly understand the cause to reach a diagnosis that goes deeper than just the symptoms.

No two diagnoses are ever the same, and as such, each treatment is tailored to the individual. Here at Churchdown Osteopaths we specialise in the Cranial approach to Osteopathy, which despite its name, is a whole body approach that can be described as both a science and an art. Treatment is gentle, yet effective and assists the body in returning to a healthy functioning state and relieving symptoms.
Services
All our Osteopaths are hugely passionate and committed to their work. As well as the minimum 4 years full time training to become a member of the General Osteopathic Council (GOsC), they are dedicated to the lifelong study of osteopathy and attend regular Postgraduate training courses to develop their understanding and skills.
Churchdown Osteopaths can be described as a true family practice, having something to offer people of all ages, our Osteopaths treat people not conditions, and take into consideration all aspects of health in each individual. We have a special interest in the treatment of babies and children. In 1978, shortly after graduating from the British School of Osteopathy, Clive and Liz married and moved to Gloucestershire.
New patient appointments last around 60 minutes, this so that we can take time to take a detailed case history as well as examine and treat. Follow up appointments are 30 minutes. The complexity of each individual case will often be a guide for how many sessions are required.

A recent study showed the average number of 3-4 visits to an Osteopath for a given problem, there are a lot of factors that may affect this though, your Osteopath will be able to give you a better indication after your initial consultation. The techniques we use are at most gentle end of the osteopathic spectrum, treatment does not involve forcing the body to move and we generally do not use manipulations i.e.
Please give at least 24 hours' notice if you wish to cancel your appointment, this helps us accommodate those who may be waiting. We reserve the right to charge the full fee should you miss your appointment without letting us know (except in exceptional circumstances), this is at the discretion of the Osteopath.
Senior or associate Osteopath. Please note that booking online is unavailable for Clive and Liz Hayden, to book appointments with them please call or email us. Fill in your details (if the appointment is for a child, please book under their name) to complete the booking, you will then get a confirmation email.

First session yesterday with Ros. After feeling flooded with stress for so long, I actually felt the moment during treatment when my breath deepened and something was released. For a life long stress-head, the most wonderful sense of peace only a few hours after my session. I don’t fully understand how, but what an amazing feeling and outcome after just one session. Thank you so much Ros. Can’t wait for session 2.

I haven't had a single migraine since my first appointment With Hans . My daughter who had 2 to 3 migraines a week also hasn't had a single one since her first appointment. The receptionist is always so friendly and welcoming and the covid safety is excellent. I cannot recommend churchdown oestopaths enough. Many thanks
