We understand that the anticipation of a truly satisfying breakfast should not be underestimated. We are Michael and Marissa Ruddy, owners and managers of York House Boutique Hotel. We recently celebrated 30 years of building our vision of a truly special and unique accommodation experience, where our guests can be assured of consistently high standards and quality of service in a peaceful and relaxed environment.
The York House Boutique Hotel is located in the coastal town of Whitley Bay in the North East of England. We are ideally positioned to access all areas of Tyne & Wear and Northumberland and only 25 minutes from Newcastle city centre by Metro and Newcastle International Airport is only 30 minutes drive by car.
At York House we try to ensure that your stay is as comfortable and relaxing as possible from start to finish, so with that in mind we hope the following guide to finding us will remove some travel stress. By car, from the A1 follow signs for the A19 (Tyne Tunnel). Then take the A1058 (East) which takes you directly to the beautiful coastline of Whitley Bay & Tynemouth.

My husband and I stayed here on our honeymoon to Whitley Bay, and from start to finish everything was a delight! Service was impeccable and staff are so friendly, the extensive breakfast menu is delicious, and our room was ideal (special mention to the incredibly shower!). Michael, Sam and all the staff went out of their way to ensure we had a wonderful stay, and we certainly did. Huge thanks to everyone at the York House Boutique Hotel!

Stopped there for 2 nights. On the website it says that their signature rooms have walk in showers. Room 1 which we paid extra for doesn't have one. You have to stand in the bath which has no handrail to help if you are a bit unsteady on you're feet and nowhere to hang your clothes. Breakfast was very though.

What a find! Absolutely FANTASTIC!
The most welcoming greeting I’ve ever experienced in a hotel and every other contact with a member of staff was to the same high standard.
The room was clean and extremely comfortable with the furniture very well laid out.
I can’t remember ever jumping out of bed looking forward to a breakfast so much. Great selection and all cooked to perfection. The staff take a pride in serving the breakfast and rightly so.
Highly recommended. 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
