When we booked the Christmas package we were told that we could not stay longer than three nights as the hotel was fully booked. We later found out it wasn't from reception. The same lady who took our booking vacation time was 12 noon yet I received a phone call all at 10:45 to say I should have been out by 10:30. We had to rush to leave the hotel .During our stay we kept to the same drinks only to find the price kept changing from £10 plus to £13 and I was not given any explanation by anyone. Liked it but not loved, could of had a better gluten free selection. Staff were lovely & lady who served us really looked after me. I'll go back, for the service not the food.

A beautiful place to stay. The staff are great and do all they can to make your visit the best. My Mum is Gluten intolerant and they made sure she did nt miss out on anything and went above and beyond to help. Thank you.

I cannot praise this place enough. We usually stay at one of the chain hotels nearby, but when you factor in the fact that breakfast is included here, the price is pretty much the same. The staff here are extremely helpful and accommodating. We came for three nights as we were in the area for my mothers funeral. We also had the wake here in the South Shields suite. Our room overlooked the Groyne and I really enjoyed sitting and looking out of the window, watching the ships coming and going. In the morning before it was light, there were about 25 fishing boats leaving the river and we watched the

Nice hotel staff friendly and helpful. Dinner was good and big portions 2 course meal with a drink £22 so not bad price. Breakfast was good loads of selection and they don't skip on portions. Room was clean and bed was comfortable

Had a fantastic day out with family 👪. Went here at short notice without a booking. We got a table within half an hour. Sunday lunch was beautiful. Thank you to all staff who were wonderful 😀😀

We had Anniversary lunch in the boardwalk restaurant and the food was delicious I chose the fish and husband had Gammon . Good size portions and both came with chips , fresh salad and peas. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. Special mention to Lorraine who is a credit to you as she goes above and beyond to make your visit special

Great spot on the waterfront. Nice place to sit outside and have a drink looking over the river.
Food was nice and great value for money, nice buffet breakfast.
I’ve stayed in hotels all over the world, you would be hard pressed to find a friendlier place than this. The North East of England people (Geordies) go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Thanks again, keep up the good work. 👍👍👍👍

Lovely warm welcome ,friendly lovely staff, dining room staff really pleasant and attentive,rooms spotless with excellent housekeeping standards.
I was with a coach party ,our menu was varied and portions were very good. Excellent breakfasts ,
