Hi, I am Lynn and I am a qualified and experienced Integrative Counsellor based in private practice in Chilcompton since 2012 and working on-line. I can offer you a calm and safe space in which I will encourage you to let go of the unhelpful ways of being that may be holding you back. I can offer ideas, strategies and support to help overcome feelings of anxiety and depression.
My well being and wellness support can help you as we transition into the next phase of your life. I know how important it is to find the right therapist and to feel held and contained in the therapeutic relationship. I will listen empathically and without judgement, allowing you to feel fully heard and understood.

Services
During counselling, I hope to explore with you your unique situation and help you discover how you would like to tackle your difficulties. This might take only a few sessions if you have aa specific concern or difficulty you wish to work on or we can work for much longer. I work closely with you to ensure that your time is focused usefully on the dominant issues that you feel will benefit your life the most.
Counselling is a confidential relationship between you and me in which you can talk about whatever is making you unhappy. You will be listened to without being judged or told what to do. I am happy to work longer term or short term. You might wonder if there is really a difference between the two - except the length of time we meet.
Single Session Therapy will be 90 minutes and cost 75 which covers the assessment, consultation and follow-up call. My practice is located approximately 100 metres away from the co-op shop and the bus stops, in the centre of the village. I do hold two low cost sessions per week for couples or individuals that are unwaged or on a very low income.
All through life, our relationships with our loved ones can be pulled and tested to their limits in a variety of ways and at difference stages. For some couples it is relatively easy to adapt to step children or to a new baby but for other couples it can introduce a huge strain in the relationship which hadn't been expected and, without the felt support of our partners it can be a distressing time.
Single Session Therapy is sometimes called One at a Time Counselling. A single-session consultation is an evidence-formed, client focused counselling session. The focus of the session will be on your greatest worry, difficulty or challenge and what you would like to achieve from our meeting. My aim will be for you to leave the session with some ideas and strategies for you to test out.
