My full name is Sir Benjamin Julian Alfred Slade but I am generally known as Sir Ben Slade. I am the 7th Baronet, a title which I inherited from my father in 1962. I went to Australia in 1967 and was a jackaroo on sheep station and then became a stockbroker and then an off-sider, building a road in Victoria.
As you enter Maunsel House through the Victorian vine covered porch, the first room that you come to is our Twelfth century hall, resplendent with ancestral treasures including the Slade family coat of arms. Look above you and see the magnificent Tudor ceiling complete with a stunning brass chandelier.

We have luscious green lawns where guests can play games such as croquet or just relax with a glass of wine. For those who like to be by water you can take a stroll around the two lakes and enjoy a private picnic.

Stayed here for friend's 50th and had a great time enjoying this fantastic place. Peacocks in the garden; house laden with artefacts that Pitt Rivers would have been proud of. The rooms are wonderful and historical and the house has its own bar like a self contained village pub. I would recommend this to anyone who loves interesting places unspoilt by modern life.

We had our best day of our life at Maunsel House for our wedding. having had to re-schedule it twice because of the pandemic we finally tie the knot in July 2021 with the best team of professionals at Maunsel House. The wedding team at the venue are incredibly flexible and accommodating. Going through the pandemic and hearing a lot of horror stories about other couples with other venues we were the lucky couple to have Maunsel House and specifically Michaela who made the process incredibly relaxed and stress free for us. Her energy and kindness is second to none and we genuinely felt looked after
