In partnership with your GP practice, Cumbria Health on Call (CHoC), are offering evening and weekend routine appointments at several locations throughout North Cumbria. You will be seen by a Clinician who can access your medical records and will provide the same service as your GP surgery. Before you can use this service you will need to come to reception to obtain your login details.

You will need to bring a form of photographic identification with you. Contact the surgery by calling (017683) 71369, use the online form or just send us a text. We have been advised by the Government/MOD that if you served in the armed forces this should be recorded on your medical records - if this is the case please let us know the details of your military service.
Services
Lyn Hind is able to run surgeries alongside the doctors and can utilise skills or techniques traditionally used by doctors. Doctors advice will always be sought should extra help be needed. Our practice nurses work closely with the doctors and nurse practitioners and provide a wide range of nursing services which include blood tests, ear syringing, dressings, vaccinations, cervical smears and health checks.
The data held in your GP medical records is shared with other healthcare professionals for the purposes of your individual care. It is also shared with other organisations to support health and care planning and research. If you do not want your personally identifiable patient data to be shared outside of your GP practice for purposes except your own care, you can register an opt-out with your GP practice.
In order to support the 2014/15 and 2015/16 GP Contract, this procedure relates to patients requesting access to elements of their record via online services (Patient Access). Patients accessing their records online will have access to limited information. As a result of this, the patient continues to have the right to submit a Subject Access Request under the Data Protection Act 1998.
There will be additional evening and daytime clinics to accommodate patients who are unable to attend on the two Saturdays. All eligible patients will receive an invitation from the Practice, so please ensure your contact details are up to date. Patients with a long term health condition, i.e. diabetes, heart, kidney, lung conditions or chronic liver disease.
In some people, as they get older, the wall of the aorta in the abdomen can become weak. It can then start to expand and form what is called an abdominal aortic aneurysm. The condition is most common in men aged 65 and above. Men are six times more likely to have an aneurysm than women and your risk of having an aneurysm increases if you are or have been a smoker, you have high blood pressure or you have a close family member who has had one.

We are very lucky to have a practice that works so hard for its patients. We have many facilities friends of mine, nationally, cannot access at their practice in such a timely manner. People have to understand GP practices are very busy and curtail their sometimes unrealistic expectations. We patients should expect for the practice to adapt to the pressures of the day by working slightly differently to make the practice more efficient and working conditions better. Happy staff leads to a better service for patients. Deal with it peeps!

Absolute discrace they have had no customer care what so ever with my partner. He's had to abscesses that he's phone up with straight away both times he's ended up in Carlisle hospital fighting off sepsis because of the lack of care from this doctors sugury. Also when he was finally prescribed antibiotics he was giving some of witch had the highest dose of penicillin in witch it states on his records that he's allergic too! Carlisle and Penrith hospital have put complaints in for the stupidity of the doctors here.
