Spring House is a family run Residential Care Home located in the lovely village of Peter Tavy, Tavistock, Devon. Our home focuses on providing high quality specialist care for those who suffer from various forms of dementia. Services
We aim to provide a warm, friendly environment ensuring independence, dignity and individual choice, in an anti-discriminatory environment. Respite and Day Care facilities are offered subject to room availability. The well balanced menus at Spring House offer freshly cooked, homely meals, where individual dietary/religious preferences are catered for.
No member of staff at Spring House works more than 40 hours per week with our maximum shift being 10 hours. We have a very strong senior team who work together to ensure that our standards remain high, staff are properly trained and that residents welfare remains our number 1 priority.
At Spring House, we work together as one big team all striving to provide the best possible care for each of our service users, of course that team is made up of different teams that work along side each other to support each other - some say like a big family!

All meals provided are freshly prepared and cooked; service users are offered a choice of meals. Meal times are not restricted - breakfast can range from 7am to 10.00am, lunch 12.30pm - 2pm, (sherry is offered prior to lunch) tea 4.30pm to 5.30pm, and a late supper menu is offered from 7.00pm. Soft drinks or wine are available with meals.
This survey is sent to all residents and family members for feedback on the service we provide. Mum felt immediately at home in the friendly and caring environment despite saying throughout her life that she never wanted to be in a care home. It has been a great relief to me to know that my mother is being properly cared for in a stimulating environment.

Spring House comes to mind as one of the finest residential care homes only made possible by the best staff and leadership by the owners.
It has a caring and conscientious mantra with all areas kept clean and tidy to excellent standards. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Spring House.

I worked at spring House on my return from university and can honestly say I thoroughly loved every minute of it!! The training and support I received was brilliant, getting to know each of the residents as well as working with such great, caring members of staff completely made my experience!! Always willing to help! Each resident is at the heart of the carer and looked after to the highest level of respect! Not a bad word to say, 100% recommend, such a lovely place xxxx
