Due to a national shortage of blood bottles in the UK, we have been advised by the NHS Devon Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) to significantly reduce the amount of blood test appointments we can offer patients as soon as possible. Until further notice, we will only be able to conduct blood tests in clinically urgent circumstances.
Blood tests that are extremely overdue and/or essential for safe prescribing of medication or monitoring of condition. Some patients may be contacted by Coleridge Medical Centre within the next few days to rearrange their blood tests. We understand that this can be incredibly frustrating, but please try to remember that this situation is out of our hands, and it is not through any fault of our reception staff, nurses or GPs.

Husband has ongoing insomnia issues and has just been told by a doctor medical information was given incorrectly to another doctor (even though clearly states on screen what patients are taking) wrong information means my husband is left yet again with no help! The doctors response wasn’t even an apology was just a sorry I can’t help you and hung up the phone! Making a formal complaint and will be looking into negligence law suit. I’m genuinely shocked I just that he told my husband he was too busy to help him... SORRY I THOUGHT YOUR JOB WAS TO HELP PEOPLE!?!?

Considering how reliant the local area is on these facilities for medical services, they provide an unbelievable service. I feel very fortunate to have them so nearby in a rural area. If I have ever had an issue and called up, I always get a response the same day. Either to have a simple phone consultation or to immediately book in an appointment. Will always be extremely greatful for the extremely quick home visit my very elderly unwell grandmother received during the Christmas period having only called a few hours before and her not being registered before that point. There is a pharmacy attached

Very cross at the way I was dealt with in Whimple surgery this morning.
Went to request a repeat prescription, the door was open so I went I. Expecting to see somewhere I could leave my request.
A very rude lady came bustling out of the back room and told me to get out, had i not read the sign, well no I hadn't as the door was open. If you don't want people in keep the door shut so the sign can be read.
I was told that they are no longer accepting repeat prescriptions at this surgery that we are supposed to go to the Ottery Surgery to hand them in. Could there not be a letter box to pop them

I took my husband into the Coleridge Medical Centre as an emergency last week when he collapsed whilst driving, we are not registered with the practice as we live in Seaton, the care we were given was above and beyond within minutes he was hooked up to an ECG machine given oxygen and an ambulance was called at one time there was at least 4 people attending him including the doctor. We had to leave the car in the carpark over night as I don't drive and they assured me they would keep an eye on it. My husband stayed in hospital over night on the stroke ward, thank goodness it wasn't a stroke but

Overall a good experience, only a small thing the waiting area is uncomfortable, it's like a hot house sitting under the glass roof. Good if you want to loose a few pounds, you can sweat it off. The staff seem oblivious as to how uncomfortable patients are with the heat, and don't switch the air conditioning on, or can't they fit some blinds.
