We are a non-profit making, committee run, sessional pre-school playgroup and a registered charity that has been serving Bare and the surrounding area for 40 years. We cater for children aged 2 - 5 years and aim to provide a safe, happy, stimulating and caring environment to promote all areas of each child's development.
We are open 5 days per week. We accept the government funding for 3 and 4 year olds. We have strong links with local schools and undertake visits to help children make the transition from playgroup to school. We have a positive approach to supporting children with special needs.

Services
Our aim is to provide a warm, friendly and stimulating environment in which each child can learn through play and a place where children know their opinions and beliefs are important. Playgroup activities are designed to meet the seven areas of learning and development identified in the Early Years Foundation Stage.
Bare Necessities Pre-School Playgroup is a registered charity and needs a parent committee to run it. The committee consists of a chairperson, Vice Chairperson, Secretary, Fundraising treasurer and co-op members. We usually have four or five meetings a year, either at playgroup or at a committee member's house and we usually bring along some nibbles.
All the staff in our playgroup are dedicated, friendly and experienced. They work together as a team to provide care for your child. All of our staff are cleared to work with children by the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). Each member of staff acts as a key worker for a small group of children and is responsible for noting and recording the development of new skills.
