Moor Farm lies on the edge of the village of Foxley in Norfolk (15 miles northwest of Norwich), adjacent to Foxley Wood, 365 acres of Norfolk Wildlife Trust woodland which is mentioned in the Domesday Book. The wood is ideal for birdwatching and is carpeted in bluebells during May. Moor Farm itself is a working farm, surrounded by lovely gardens.
The Old Stables have been converted into eight separate holiday cottages of varying sizes, two of which have been adapted for disabled guests. These, together with the more traditional Moor Farm Cottage and Shamrock Cottage offer great holiday accommodation for all, from large family parties to one man and his dog.

Alternative accommodation whilst our house had some work done to it. At first it was idyllic and a good place for the kids to roam around and interact with the animals, after staying for a little longer discovered a broken washing machine, locking our clothes in and hearing nothing back after the owner said they'd tried to sort (but never got back to us), thread bare curtains hanging on by a fibre and fixings falling a part left right and centre. The odd glare whilst passing made us feel wholly unwelcome and some very run down equipment made for a quite unsettled stay. Some renovations needed.

Have stayed here 4 times now and love it each time. The stable cottages are a 'home from home', well equipped and comfortable. Situated in beautiful Foxley, they are a convenient base to explore the surrounding area. The countryside is so peaceful you're guaranteed a good night's sleep and restful break. Some lovely pubs a short drive away and plenty of places to explore. The cottages are set on a working farm and there are animals to see - the mini goats are adorable! I highly recommend Moor Farm!

Day 1 and here are my first impressions. We have booked 'Littlewoods barn and first off..if is as described but unfortunately it is about a 7 minute walk from the farm itself. However, the kids love the tidy playground and animals in the paddock . Please note: the swimming pool is not open due to subsidence.. as of August 28th 2021. Shops nearby are small but you get the basics OK. That's all for now. I'll add later

We stayed in the lodge which has its own private wood-fired hot tub. Lovely, spacious accommodation, spotlessly clean, comfortable beds and a fantastic hamper complete with Prosecco to enjoy! The only complaint we would have is that there was only 6 items of crockery and cutlery provided, which meant that we either had to run a barely full dishwasher on every night or wash everything up by hand. Other than that though it was great!

The surrounding are brilliant, the people, the farm and it is in a lovely quiet area. The property Is great the pool is whole heap of fun for the family. So why 4 stars. Its once you have been there for a day and you have time to look around and you notice a crack here and there. Light bulbs need replacing. A whole which needs work doing. If the location and the facilities were not as good as they are, including washing machine and dishwasher, I would of given a two star rating.
Honestly, if there were no repairs that needed doing I would of been prepared to pay more per week than I did. All round

Well kept, clean and comfortable cottages in a working farm environment. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Great swimming pool and play park also on site for guests to use as well as a small fishing pond and a larger fishing pond across the street. Each cottage has a full kitchen and there is also a launderette. Free WiFi available.
