Here at Nafferton Primary School each child is valued for what they bring to the school and community. A child needs to be allowed to be a child, creating memories for life. We are committed to developing the whole child. We offer an education that is rooted in the traditions and values of England with a spirit of tolerance and respect for the individual.
Our children will have the opportunity to be creative, to be physically active and to be academically challenged. Aspirations and expectations are high for our children to ensure they become active, responsible and caring members of the school and society. Mr Meade prepares the Year 3/4 with some first-class football drills on a Thursday lunchtime. Mr Saltonstall took the Year 6 children for a tournament at Hymers. The children played very well and, despite conceding only two goals in four games, ran out 3rd of 5 teams. Let's try and score a few more next time!

The children spent the day immersed in French culture and language, beginning the day with a French breakfast and tasting other French produce such as cheeses and ''wine''. Each bubble learned about a significant French person or place in the morning.
In the afternoon, they were lucky enough to practise their language skills and learn through a range of activities, including French sports, French artist workshops, cafe and shop roleplay, songs and stories. They had a fun and memorable day. Please see a selection of pictures from our languages celebration below.

Here we are again! We hope that you're keeping safe in these strange times. I thought that now would be as good a time as any to share with you some resources linked to online safety. At a time when a large proportion of us are working from home, online safety is even more important than it usually is.
This is a virtual space to view Mr Johnson's key video messages during this time for our children and parents. Don't forget to keep reading! This can be anything from your school book to your favourite comic or magazine or a comforting bedtime story to help you sleep. Every read counts and you can still record your reads as you would do in school.
