When Hari and Colin Fell left London in 2003 for a former working farm they could not have imagined it would become the toast of Tatler and the best kept secret in the Forest of Dean and Wye Valley. Refurbished to form an oasis in the unspoiled Forest of Dean and Wye Valley and set in 14 acres of ancient grassland, the property has been lovingly converted into a boutique rural retreat - the perfect place to kick back and relax.

Great rooms. Great food. Comfy beds. Even better in the summer. Near lots of activities for all.
Only gets 4 stars as breakfast couldn't offer bananas, dried fruit or berries and the 'fresh' chopped fruit was mainly apple. Kids loved scrambled egg on crumpets. Dinners were lovely. Some maintenance issues but overall a lovely place to stay.

Been coming back for over 7 years now. We have never been disappointed. That comes down to the constant care and dedication of the owners and staff.
We've stayed in various rooms, all have their own little wow factor as you open the door.
The food is fabulous and one of the many reasons we keep coming back.

Went here for dinner left wanting to stay the night! Food was great, really well prepared, tasty and well presented. At the upper end in terms of price but quality and presentation worth it. Had a quick look around the hotel site and was impressed. Small but looks to be very well kept and worth a night or few quiet nights away in lovely surroundings.
