Really enjoyed our morning there, very enlightening, only very small problem, stairs to the upper level should have better signage.

Interesting little museum with emphasis on agriculture, although lots of other stuff to see as well. The gallows were chilling and evoked much harsher times. Well laid out and free entry as well!

Really excellent museum. It includes a recreation of a 19th century kitchen, an explanation of how Rutland Water came into being, the history of Rutland and lots of machinery that was used in this mainly rural county.

We’ve had a brilliant time here today. We arrived at 1015 and did an hour and a half of craft activities, followed be going into Oakham for lunch then returning to the museum for the treasure trail and a look around. The girls are 8 and 4 and thoroughly enjoyed themselves!! We will be coming back as there are things we didn’t get a chance to do; we ran out of time!

Not much to see most exhibition space taken over by temporary library and some staff have little or no knowledge of local history
