St Lawrence C Of E Voluntary Aided Primary School
Thank you for searching out the school website to find out information and learn about our school. St Lawrence's with Little Lawrences is known for being a warm, welcoming church school that offers a richness of provision for all those that attend: academic excellence with music, science, sports, the arts and experiences that are designed for all to flourish and 'soar on wings like eagles'!

It promotes a 'can do' attitude that makes it a fun place for all to work and learn in: a place where children want to get involved, a place where the extra-curricular is embraced, and a place where unique talents are nurtured and celebrated. We'd love to share more with you and so please do take a look at the weekly School Journals packed with photographs, why not follow us on Facebook or. even better.
Services
The Team is always on hand to help. Always a friendly face to great your child at the start of the school day and again at home time to share exciting activities they have taken part in! If you feel you need a chat with one of the team, don't hesitate to ask at the start or end of the day, they will gladly suggest a good time to catch up and address any concerns or worries that you may have!
As Head Teacher, I take the greatest pleasure in seeing children flourishing and being the best that they can be. Whatever the challenges (and there have been quite a few recently around the world) I am passionate about creating an environment for them that ensures they are engaged and inspired. The personal approach, in my opinion, makes all the difference.
Recognising its historic foundation, the school will preserve and develop its religious character in accordance with the principles of the Church of England and in partnership with the churches at parish and diocesan level. This is a church school that aims to serve its community by providing an education of the highest quality within the context of Christian belief and practice.
To maintain a positive and constructive partnership with parents and carers, to enable all children to reach both their academic and social potential. To serve its community by providing an education of the highest quality within the context of Christian belief and practice, and by promoting wider community links in order for children to understand and develop their role in society.
The School Governing Body is responsible for managing the School within the framework of national legislation and the policies of the Diocese and the Local Education Authority. It receives a budget from the County Council and, in consultation with the Headteacher, decides how it should be spent and ensures it is managed properly.
