Braunston Church Of England Primary School
Braunston is a happy, caring school with fabulous children and hardworking, dynamic staff. Our school vision is to ensure that all of our children are 'learning for life in all its fullness'. This means that we have high expectations in all areas of the curriculum and work hard to provide the children with a variety of experiences that promote excitement and wonder through trips, visitors to school and activities both within our local community and further afield.

At Braunston we believe that the relationship between home and school is one of partnership, support and co-operation so that every child has the opportunity to develop to their full potential academically, socially, physically and spiritually. We are part of the Peterborough Diocese Education Trust and our foundation as a Christian school is very important to us.
Services
Hardcopies of all policies and reports found on this website are available on request at the school office. Our telephone lines are open from 8:30am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday, excluding school holidays. Our linked area includes the villages of Braunston, Onley and Onley Park. We also have a significant number of children who live in Daventry and attend Braunston School.
This is part of the caring ethos of our school and is reinforced through praise and reward. Religious Education at Braunston School, through "Growing Together" and "Understanding Christianity" will allow pupils to explore their own beliefs and traditions and those of others in a meaningful and engaging way.
Our aim is to try and provide a home from home environment for the children. Somewhere they can enjoy a choice of breakfast and snacks and provide them with a wide range of both quiet and energetic activities at either end of the school day. We have a wide range of breakfast items on offer including cereals, fresh fruit, toast, bagels, fruit breads, muffins, scrambled egg, porridge and yoghurt.
We are a one form entry school. This means that we have one class for each age group from Reception to Year 6, with the capacity for 30 children in each class. Our school term, holidays and teacher training days mainly align with those published on the NCC website. Further details are on the calendar.
Uniform is worn at Braunston School to develop a sense of pride in being a member of the school community. Plain dark grey, navy or black trousers, shorts or skirt (plain jogging bottoms are acceptable). Black or navy shorts, a white tee shirt and plimsolls are required for PE and a suitable bag for storage is recommended.
