I'm so impressed with Southam Primary. During the first lockdown we felt very let down by our previous school. A neighbour showed us how Southam Primary were working and now we're grateful to have a place here. Thanks for all your hard work! Southam primary team have been absolutely amazing. Thank you everyone.
The pupil premium is a Government initiative that targets extra money at pupils from deprived backgrounds, which research shows underachieve compared to their non-deprived peers. The premium is provided in order to support these pupils in reaching their potential.

The Government have used pupils entitled to Free School meals as an indicator for deprivation, and have deployed a fixed amount of money to schools per pupil, based on the number of pupils registered for Free School meals. This fixed amount of money will increase every year of the course of this current Parliament.
Our designated teacher for children looked after and children previously looked after is Emma Longworth. Helping to ensure that other school staff are aware of the individual needs of looked-after pupils (while maintaining appropriate confidentiality) and promoting high aspirations. Putting together the PEP that all LAC should have, in partnership with the child, their carer and their social worker.
Southam Primary School, we encourage our children to take pride in their appearance when attending school. School uniforms boost school spirit! Helping to build a sense of belonging within the school, uniforms create an atmosphere of community. This essence of unity can positively effect a child's attitude toward school and can lead to better learning and improved attendance.
All Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 pupils in state-funded schools can have free school meals. This is known as "universal entitlement". If you think you receive one of the qualifying benefits, we recommend that you still apply. This will mean your child's school does not miss out on important funding.
