Bishops Itchington Primary School is in the heart of this lovely village community. We provide education from aged 2 - through our Ladybirds Nursery - up to Year 6. We recognise that we need to provide our children with broad, engaging and memorable experiences through a rich curriculum that maximises cultural capital; this will equip them for their future progression and life choices.
Services
Our administration team can help with queries from parents and other members of the public. We aim to respond to telephone calls and emails promptly, however during busy times there may be a short delay. We can help you with most queries relating to payments, attendance, school meals, holidays, booking music lessons, making appointments with the Head Teacher and a vast range of other queries that you might have.
Bishops Itchington Primary School is a mainstream school that strives to provide the best learning opportunities for all children. Our core values promote an inclusive school community. We recognise that all children are individuals who have different learning needs and we work hard to ensure they are given the right balance of support and challenge in their learning and join in with enriching experiences to build their cultural capital.
Grey/black skirt, dress or trousers, white or red polo neck t-shirt and red sweatshirt/ cardigan. In the warmer weather, girls may wear a summer dress in red/white gingham. All children are required to wear black, flat shoes with their school uniform (trainers are not permitted). Shoes must cover the whole of the foot, so no open sandals are permitted nor are any shoes with a raised heel.
We know how wonderful it would be if we could all be on holiday all of the time! However, requests for parents to take children out of school during term time - unless there are exceptional circumstances-will not be authorised. Did you know that if your child misses a week at school, they will return with a gap in their learning that is difficult to repair?
For families who are on low income, the Government gives their children's school extra money and it also gives the children free school meals. This is called Pupil Premium money. This money makes a real difference to our school. It helps us pay for a Teaching Assistant in every class every morning of the week.
