The Greyhound Coaching Inn
We are now open as normal for accommodation, drinks & coffee, and for food service in the bar and restaurant (please see details of food service below). And, we can't wait to see you again! Details of the measures we have put in place to ensure the safety of our staff and our guests, can be found here.

Our team will continue to wear PPE and hand sanitising points, perspex screens and the QR code for NHS Track and Trace will remain in place. The Greyhound Coaching Inn is a charming and traditional 18th Century coaching inn located in the South Leicestershire town of Lutterworth. A family-owned hotel, it has been sympathetically restored by Robert Eggleston to provide a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.
Services
The team at The Greyhound Coaching Inn is the most important part of the hotel's success. Many of the staff have been at the hotel for several years and take great pride in the high quality of customer service they provide.

The Greyhound Coaching Inn is owned by Robert Eggleston who bought the Grade II listed building in 1989 and totally refurbished and renovated the hotel, creating guest bedrooms, a Restaurant, bar, lounge and the relaxing atmosphere of the Courtyard.Robert, whilst likened to Basil Fawlty by some customers, tries to provide a unique experience far removed from that of branded hotels.
With further relaxation of restrictions, we are delighted to be able to offer more to our customers. We do, however, remain cautious so our service will be extended gradually. As we have hopefully demonstrated over the past months, our priority is to ensure that everyone is safe and that you feel comfortable to be able to enjoy visiting us.
For those more action orientated there is scuba diving at Stoney Cove, test driving at Bruntingthorpe Proving Ground and two golf courses within 3 miles of The Greyhound. There are also many sporting activities available in the local area including a well equipped leisure and sports centre in Lutterworth just a few minutes from the hotel.
Accommodation at The Greyhound Coaching Inn comprises 33 ensuite bedrooms. All our rooms are individually designed and furnished to a high specification and each has its own charm and individuality. Our bedrooms give you the comfort, quality and traditional atmosphere you would expect in a Grade II listed, 18th century hotel.
Renovated by the current owner, this grade II listed, 18th century building is the last functioning coaching inn in the town. We do now have the benefit of home comforts such as double glazing, central heating, Freeview television and WiFi, however, due to the age of the building, please be aware of low doors, sloping floors and sudden steps!

Absolutely brilliant, what an array of whisky from around the world. The Restaurant has a good range on the menu and is of a great standard. The staff are so polite, friendly and helpful. Well worth a visit.

Had a really great stay. Staff were so welcoming and helpful, especially as we were a fairly large group. Emma on reception was particularly helpful. We were out for a wedding all day so the team cleaned our rooms quickly allowing us to check-in at 11:30am (checkout is 11am) and get changed. They gave us the keys for the other rooms (which weren’t ready so early) at this time so we didn’t have to come back from the wedding to check-in as we were out till late. The rooms themselves were very nice, comfy beds, good showers and well cleaned. The following morning breakfast was really good with

Stayed for just one night. Glad we chose this hotel! The bed was very comfortable and the pillows soft and squishy. Breakfast was cooked to order and couldn't be faulted, as whatever you wanted it was on the menu to be chosen. Would definitely be staying here again😀
